Chris Tarrant's Christmas Quickie

INT. HOME.

CHRIS TARRANT IS SITTING ON AN ARMCHAIR BESIDE A LOG FIRE AND A XMAS TREE. HE IS SUPPING ON SOME MULLED WINE. HE OPENS A LEATHER-BOUND BOOK AND BEGINS TO READ.

CHRIS:
Tiswas the night before Christmas.

HE GETS COVERED WITH A BIG PILE OF GREEN GUNGE FROM ABOVE.

I like it but perhaps not so much the reveal:
I think that could be more 'tiswassy'

Maybe your ending - and also being flanned and a bucket of water too.

Thanks Stephen. May you get what you want from Santa.

I don't even think you need the end.
"Tiswas the night before Christmas" was funny enough for the ending. Funnier, in my opinion, coz I laughed at that bit and thought you could lose the ending about the gunk. But maybe in a visual sense it might work...hmmm. Helpful, non?
Just my opinion, but yeah, liked it.

Paul

Agree with above, leave out the gunge. Throwing gunge/custard pies etc is not funny unless you're still hiring a clown for your birthday.

Goodlad has it right for me - get the flan-flinger and some buckets of water in there. This is what they want!

:D Like this one Nigel.

For what it was I liked it.

This made me smile.. I thought the gunge bit worked for me personally..

I'd leave the gunge in so long as there's no visual clues that it's on the cards.

Totally Brilliant!

To be honest I was a bit too young and too well brought up to watch ITV, I was a 'Going Live' child, I still found it funny though.

I didn't mind the gunge - would be great as part of a recurring theme of gungeing in a sketch show.
Please read my Christmas special - I know its a bit longer than yours!
Cheers.
