Aoraphobia is the irrational fear of having a panic attack in public as I recall, nothing to do with open spaces per se.

You seems pretty normal compared to most people on here!

I was just ruling out the idea that I may have had a phobia/fear of being outside. I'm not even sure if it was agoraphobia? I never had it diagnosed as it isn't an issue anymore. Like I mentioned before, it hit me one day that I hadn't left the house for quite a while.

Did you not even go in the garden?

He just said he did in the previous post!

It probably wasn't, I bet there's quite a few people on here who don't like crowds, seems to be an increasing thing.

I didn't have a fear of open spaces, as I went into my garden n what not.

:)

No.

It wasn't by choice. Whenever I needed to go out, I found a way to get out of it. I was 15, I got kicked out of my favourite subjects at school (Art and English) which in itself is odd, I should have got kicked out of P.E. Rolling eyes But I decided I didn't want to go to school anymore (what was the point?). Which I regret if only for putting my Mum through that, I was a dick. It was during or just before GCSEs and all my friends were busy with that. So I never kept in touch. And I don't blame them. Days into weeks into months. F**k me, I haven't left the house. Leaves house. Lives Happily Ever After.

SHUTTUP YOU LOT. I COULD BE BLINDDDDD.
And you mustn't mock a disabled.

:) I know more and more that I don't leave the house much? yes go for a drink at pub, visit relatives all in car, but has struck me blimey not even done that"

Crikey, I;m getting ready now to go to local for quiz night- or that will be OVER a week!

Do folk really think it is odd? I mean I'm not working? feel happy.

Sounds fine to me!
It's too cold outside anyway.

:( OH dear one of my sons is like that, I tell him he must go out.

According to some genetics scientist who did research on this, we belong in some measure to one of two distinct types of DNA, an outdoors or indoors type. Fight it as hard as I can, and I have, I am very much of the latter, as many great men were, evidently. This, despite working outdoors most of my working life. When I'm back home, there's no going back out. My brother was the exact opposite, hardly ever being in.
