Not Drunk Page 2

Had a few tonight but not drunk all week so as a treat I thought I'd have a few :P

I hate the feeling of getting drunk for some odd reasons that are too complex to explain but I do have a glass of red every night while watching a DVD.

I miss that! It's soooo hard not to drink! But I have to do it for me!

Buy a carton of orange juice. Not a complex task.

but I hate being drunk.

I love being drunk. It's when I'm not drunk the problems start. Fortunately that doesn't happen too often.

I enjoy being drunk! :) I have a good time, have a great night and it's awesome. What I don't like are the head aches the next day, or being stone cold sober when everyone else is drunk and merry.

I love drink but cant go over 4 pints as it makes me too restless and i have to have more.

There is most definitely a line...I couldn't just have one or two and not carry on.

Yikes. Then I think you're doing the right thing trying to give up. Richard Herring's doing the same thing! You can see which one of you lasts the longest.

I can take it or leave it. I tend to get really excited about a certain drink, and have one every day, and then go off it after a week like I've flicked a switch. And then not be interested in alcohol for 3 months.

Same as I am with creme eggs.

It sounds like a number of people here should consider joining Alcoholics Anonymous.

Heh, she's not giving up for the alcohol. She's attempting to give up because she thinks it'll help a diet. And it's expensive, obviously.

I'm happy drinking 1 - 15 (pints, shots, petrol) I can stop at any point I feel like... I'm a great drinker all round :D

Until I piss in your hedge.

You have to drink a bit to be a proper writer.
Thems the rules.

You have to sometimes wear glasses too. And have a cat. And be a bit grumpy and somewhat socially inept.

I've got a couple of those things going on, and I'm working hard on the rest.

Damn, I need glasses.

Its a progressive thing booze. When you're a teenager and in to your twenties its great fun getting pissed regularly. But then I found it became like a ritual that I had to do and when I tried not to drink I became grumpy.
It affects people differently but alcohol can get its claws into you and its not easy to let go. I 've a lot more respect for booze nowadays.

I have everything - but now I've given up drinking I'm never going to be a writer! Damn it!
