Wow, genius contraptions!
Thanks Dellas, got tested for arthritis etc when docs were trying to work out what it was. Turns out I'm just peculiarly put together! Apparently I'll grow out of it but since I'm only growing into it approaching thirties I'll probably grow straight into arthritis
OK get them long-johns and knee braces now, you can jazz them up with sequins for Christmas, just to to keep your man interested!
Genuine LOL
There are lots of things that can be done to help hypermobility. You may know this already or have tried it, but in case it's useful:
You can get used to doing things and using your body in a certain way, which can create longer term problems, (e.g.arthritis, damage to ligaments) even if it is the easiest way for you now.
Physio can help enormously - giving you exercises to strengthen muscles that support the wobbly joints, assess your posture, advice on bending and stretching etc and Occupational Therapist can advise on any equipment (like the stuff in the links) may help you. Worth a try if it makes life easier and less painful.
They can supply some items of equipment free too.
Aw, thanks Loopey. Yep, recognise all that- already feeling my calf muscles starting to hurt because I'm limping! So easy to cause more aches and pains.
I have physio recommended stretches I do when not in pain which cause much hilarity due to lacking an innate sense of balance
It's not a regular occurence for my joints to hurt this much, think it's probably a combination of having been ill this week, it being really cold, and just being due a random episode of massive ouchness (medical term).
Recieved a text message from a stranger. Apparently I have won 900,00 GPB. All I have to do to claim the fortune is email my personal details with the code word IPAD.
Bored in work. *yawn*
Gavin at least you are not suffering arthritis!

Bit sexy for me, I'd pinch my arse if I was wearing them.
I have decided if it gets colder I'm going to buy some pyjama bottoms to wear under my trousers.
Which will be sensible cords to go with my flat cap, driving gloves and piss bag.
When did I get so old?
I know men who wear secret leg-warmers, they're brilliant for cold weather if you don't want to go the pyjama trouser/tights route
For medical reasons I can't be doing with restriction around the lower legs.
Hence the pyjama bottoms or tights or whatever.
Maybe I'll use goose fat.
I can scrape it off onto toast at the end of the day for a late night snack (bit hairy though,,)
Leg warmers don't have to be tight, I have big woolly ones that just sit on calves to top of shoes, they stop the breeze and cold up trouser legs
What Google considers tobe a macho leg warmer, hmm reckon I could rock the look.
