As I recall the flames & smoke of the first impacts did look a bit like that.
I read the news today oh boy! Page 584
Who lives in an inner' apartment in that building? No daylight?
Quote: Tim Walker @ December 9 2011, 11:56 PM GMTOf course, the use of the word "exploding" is completely erroneous here. As we all know, the towers didn't explode in any way - the steel-reinforced concrete buildings simply melted due to a fire before buckling and falling to the ground below in large chunks. If you watch video of the collapses and see anything resembling evidence of an explosion you are obviously highly deluded and should seek professional help.
Don't be a douche, douche.
I've never understood why calling some a shower - or a shower-related implement - is considered the most hurtful form of insult to our American cousins.
On the 9/11 issue, the disturbing truth is blindingly obvious to anyone who's studied the footage carefully... there were no 'Twin Towers'!

It's because according to their A&E departments", a lot of Americans suffer "accidents" in the shower, where they unfortunately become conjoined to loofahs, shower heads or jack Russel Terriers.
When I read Tim's post last night I had a head full of beer and thought he was spouting 9/11 conspiracy nonsense. Now that I'm sober I'm not so sure. If he wasn't, I apologize. If he was, I stand by my douche assessment and worry about the state of feminine hygiene in the UK.
P.S. The only A&E we have here is a TV network.
And if he'd been breaking into your house with his opinion you'd have shot him!
Yes, if you break into my house you will be shot. Consider yourselves warned.
What do you do to Father Christmas?

Methinx he was aiming at the ultimate irony; the totally impossible conspiracy theory.
BTW Tim, I can personally vouch for the prior existence of the Twin Towers, I did go up to the top of one of them as a tourist & it was pretty windy up there.
And I could SEE the other Tower just a short distance away, with mine own eyes.
Right. Between. The. Eyes.
Quote: DaButt @ December 10 2011, 3:35 PM GMTRight. Between. The. Eyes.
Aaaaaaaaargh!
Oh, On second thoughts I wouldn't make much noise if shot between the Eyes.
You do look a little like St. Nick but I promise to hold my fire if you slide down my chimney, Bill.

Just read some of the ridiculous bullshit that they're floating at the UN climate change meeting in Durban. It's painfully obvious that the intent is to cause irreparable damage to the developed world (the United States, Europe and Japan) while throwing money at the rest of the world. A few choice bits from the Land of Make Believe:
47. The provision of the amount of funds to be made available annually to developing
country Parties, which shall be equivalent to the budget that developed countries spend on
defence, security, and warfare.
80. Stopping wars, defending lives and ceasing destructive activities will protect the
climate system; conflict-related activities emit significant greenhouse gas emissions to the
atmosphere.
81. The guarantee that all Parties shall cease destructive activities that contribute to
climate change, in particular the activities of warfare, production of materials and services
that support warfare, and to divert associated financial resources and investments into the
shared global effort to combat a common enemy: climate change.
67. The removal of all obstacles, including intellectual property rights and patents on
climate-related technologies to ensure the transfer of technology to developing countries
74. Ensure respect for the intrinsic laws of nature.
