Well, I liked this. For me, it worked on several levels. In some senses, it's a kind of satirical mini-comedy haiku.
I did laugh at the missing apostrophe in the subject line.
Given the context, I thought that was the joke.

It is more subtle than that - it should be third person plural not singular. Think about it.
