The UK police have accused people of being paedos for having photos of their own kids.

A mate of mine was arrested and charged for taking pictures of children paddling in the fountain in Trafalgar Square. The judge threw it out as a complete nonsense but not before he had gone through twelve months of hell.

:O OH my God, the world is crazy! how sad is that.

this poor silly women is going to spend Christmas in jail away from her family. That'll make her stop being racist eh.

And no one will even be charged for murdering this vulnerable man.

At times I just don't get this country. What an entirely inexcusable set of priorities.

Maybe we could just blame the tram bitch for that too?
Two birds, one stone.

The woman on the tram deserved a slap from everyone around her. People who terrorize the weak deserve to rot in prison.

We should bring back the stocks, and throw rotten food (and perhaps other things) at her all over the Christmas period. Rather than just putting her in jail.

Correction one of the tormentors of man got 16 months, he'll be out in under a year.

There's justice

The woman deserved a suspended sentence and a few evenings at an insufferably boring cultural awareness course.

Nope. The stocks.

You do get the point that being a bit racist is rather worse than tormenting someone till they died over a period of years.

You're the only one comparing them, I'm just talking about the woman.

Crimes aren't better or worse depending on what else has been committed that week. It's not graded on a curve.

(Am assuming you actually meant the opposite of what you said.)

I'm saying that commit a crime that becomes a YouTube sensation and expect swift justice.

*shrug*

True. But it doesn't make her any less of a cow or any less deserving of a punishment.

I'd like the context; was she provoked? Most of what she said wasn't actually racist. 'Go back to where you came from' isn't really that racist, it's more of a stupid opinion.

Stocks sounds like a good punishment. Trial by YouTube isn't.

I expect she was provoked by a brown person walking through her line of sight.

She is remarkably foul-mouthed and ignorant, "Go back to where you come from. Go back to Sibe... Nig...aragua" is a line you couldn't invent, but I am not certain that she said anything racially abusive. It is her behaviour as much her opinions that are deplorable. The passenger who apparently generalises that British people are not prepared to work probably comes closer to making a genuinely racist comment.
