Christmassy sketches wanted!

Hi,

RealDeal Theatre is presenting a Christmas family entertainment at a London library on Saturday, December 10th. We're looking for sketches suitable for a family audience to fill 10 to 15 minutes. Either topical or timeless are fine as long as it fits in with the brief of a light hearted, children and adults' event.

If you'd like to try your hand at this, please send a maximum of two sketches to this address info@realdealtheatre.org.uk by midday Thursday November 24th 2011.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Kind regards,
Alice www.realdealtheatre.org.uk

This sounds like good fun. What size cast do you have? And what shape? ;)

Would sketches which acknowledge the fact that Father Christmas doesn't exist, be deemed inappropriate?

I've sent one sketch in. :)

You've just totally spoiled Christmas for me Groovydude.

Father Christmas doesn't exist??? Heh, yeah, right, as if. Pull the other one, it's got jingle bells on it. :P

I've just submitted two sketches. I look forward to receiving another rejection email!

You're welcome!

That's the spirit...of Ebenezer!

Hiya,

Thanks to those who've already sent sketches in - you can say Santa doesn't exist as long as you stick to the claus that your sketch is funny!

Don't worry too much about casting - if a sketch is funny we'll adapt it to the cast we have.

We're looking for several sketches, max two pages double line spacing, to fill the slot. You don't have to stick to traditional Christmas themes - up to date, topical stuff with references to the Season is fine. Riffs on fairy tales, pantomines, Occupylsx, TOWIE ... Anything goes as long as it's suitable for a family audience.

Have sent 2 in :)

I've just received an email acknowledging the receipt of my scripts.

My sketch has reached the shortlist stage. :)

Well done Mikey :) I got the reject :(

Another rejection for me.
