Writing Partner

Hi there,

I'm currently looking for a comedy writing partner.

I'd prefer someone who's good at the things I'm weak at like plot structure and also I don't write very good female characters for some reason...yes, I am single.

I have quite a dark sense of humour and am a fan of the work of Chris Morris, Armando Iannucci, Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong.

So, if you fancy writing something together then get in touch.

What do you mean 'dark sense of humour'...?

Where about's do you live?.... I'm not on my way round, just wondering.

The north east.

@Z
You have read my rough draft, so you know I dealt even in the most basic sense with poverty. I like lots of types of humour but that league of gentlemen, steptoe and son dark irony on lifes failings mixed with one liner gags amuses me. So that is the the type of humour I am attempting to write.

Early stages yet, more to come hopefully.

The reason I posted a writing partner is because, even sharing ideas virtually with someone who has the same goals can mean we both push each other forward. It is half the workload, and I like working with others. You never know what material could be written from a conversation about something else. If your both keeping an ear out for something to potentially appear, then it gets written down, and developed.

I'm in Lincolnshire. Are you very far away?

Hi,

I'm from Sunderland too!

'Bruce out' eh? No? Okay.
I write with a couple of mates. Check out our blog, if you like the style of writing we have drop me/us a line.

We were part of Jesting About this year and had a sketch show on BBC Newcastle, nothing since, but hey!

All the best.

Jamie.
