My 3 favourite episodes:

The Spanish Infanta one.. and the "Witchsmeller Poursuivant" one (or whatever it was called), from the 1st series..

..and the one from series 2 with the Bishop of Bath and Wells..

And it's no good trying to destroy the painting, we still have the preliminary sketches !

Not forgetting Tom Baker's crazy sea captain as a highlight of two ('those are woman's hands').

Series 4 had Hugh Laurie and Tim McInnerny among the rest of the cast. Poigniant and plenty of great knockabout (Rik and Ade's stand off is hilarous).

I didn't know whether I'd mentioned it on here before but I was amazed when I was told the Blackadder's Bishop of Bath and Wells, The Nazi villain from Raiders of the Lost Ark and Harris from Porridge are all the same man, Ronald Lacey.

Well bugger me!!
