I read the news today oh boy! Page 566

Expensive yes, but from the bloke's point of view it still works out cheaper than giving her a kid.

It was a bloody mess under Labour. Most of the clerical staff were unnecessarily employed.

Really, "most" of them?
Ah, you read The Mail, don't you.

Bill Bailey flew most of his rescue dogs over from abroad didn't he?

Daily Mail hearts have been warmed by this pair of psychotic idiots with more money than sense:

My sister and her boyfriend did the same thing.

They used to live in Tenerife about 4 years ago as Dive Masters and a dog "adopted" them as his owner, and when they had to leave they took him with them.

Spending £2,000 on a dog is not particularly unusual.

Probably spend a tenner a week on food, vet bills can run into hundreds...

I had a whole pack of the f**kers following me around in India a few years ago. I would have loved to have kidnapped one of them, but I think they mainly saw me as a food, rather than a food source.

EDIT: f**k, missed the chance to do a Madonna joke. Next time.

"Northern Rock received a £1.4bn bail-out when it was nationalised in February 2008 at the height of the credit crunch. So on paper, taxpayers end up with a loss of £400m, but this could rise to £650m.

George Osborne said the deal was a "good thing" for taxpayers, consumers and the banking system. "

How is it good for taxpayers to lose £400m to £650m?

Quite frankly, I shocked that stray cats can afford to go on holiday. :P

Fnar.

Wanna trade?

The Treasury Department dramatically boosted its estimate of losses from its $85 billion auto industry bailout by more than $9 billion in the face of General Motors Co.'s steep stock decline.

In its monthly report to Congress, the Treasury Department now says it expects to lose $23.6 billion, up from its previous estimate of $14.33 billion.

What's she thinking?

(she's some Sheila from one of our former colonies btw)

I'm not particularly following the Sepp-Blatter-confirms-his-reputation-as-an-odious-buffoon story, but I am definitely intrigued and thrilled by the name of the South African FIFA member who's been sticking up for him...

Crazy name, crazy guy!
