Is the war on terror over, did we win?

Oh dear.
!
I think it's worth noting they're advertising all over the place (saw the same ad on elancing). And they're producing 3-5 cartoons a month so go for it, but I reckon it'll be a struggle to get one thing on.
I've sent a bunch of ideas but then Sootyj does have quite the back catalogue.
Hello,
Thank you all for the incredible response. Please be patient. I have personally answered every email I received and I have a lot of sketches to read. Most of them are quite good, so please know that if nothing else, you are helping me laugh and make it through some tough days.
It is correct that we are producing 3-5 animations a month right now (we're actually posting two new ones today and our YouTube show will premier next Thurs, Oct 20), but we expect production to double within a month, and so on.
At present, we have two teams of writers and artists competing in our new sport of animation. We hope to have 16 teams within a year's time.
So please bear with us (or even better, bare with us) and I will read every sketch I receive.
Please remember to put your name and contact info on the sketch, since I print most of them out to read on actual paper to spare my tired eyes.
Professional, quality animation can be very expensive. You can go through $50K in a minute or two for high-quality stuff, so obviously we have to go with the strongest stuff first, material we feel has the potential to go viral and get the max amount of hits.
Thank you all again for your interest and for allowing me the pleasure of reading your work.
I wish we could produce every sketch, but I'm just the middleman looking for writers for the producers.
The majority of these emails have been very nice and polite and the submissions have been a lot of fun to read. Again, I'd like to thank everyone who has politely requested FAQs and Sub Guidelines. I have actually struck up some very nice correspondences with a few of you and that has been quite rewarding in itself.
I'm a writer myself, so I know how it feels. The way I got involved with ADA Sport is I heard about them through friends at Second City, IO, and UCB. I submitted a couple dozen sketches. Of those, they bought two. Then they hired me for some rewrite and punch up work. Now they have asked me to help them find new writers.
We are uploading two new clips today and our first live Yotube show premeirs Oct. 20 www.youtube.com/adasport
It can cost US $50,000 for a couple minutes of quality animation, so obviously even if every sketch we received was a home run, we couldn't produce them all, much less do it in under a week, so please be patient.
Also, if we reject your script, it's not a rejection of you personally and it doesn't mean you should stop submitting. It just means that script didn't suit our present needs. I say that as a survivor of the Great Rejection Slip Blizzard of '99.
Thanks again, and please check out our YouTube show next Thursday.
Have a great weekend and feel free to email me at j.kalkin@adasport.com for FAQs, Submission guidelines, or other questions.
Have a great weekend,
Jon
Johnny99: Have you had problems receiving emails from hotmail accounts? Because at least one polite request didn't get through. And by that I mean, ipso facto, mine.
Luckily, one of my fellow writers sent me a copy of said guidelines so I shall be sending something soon.
Unless... said fellow writer sent me a falsefied copy of the submission guidelines, hoping to improve his own chances. In which case I'll be sending something completely inappropriate.
If such is the case then I'll trust you to ignore my incompetence.
Have a nice weekend.
Cheers, Johnny.

I got my hotmail through.
I just wanted to thank everyone who has submittd sketches and encourage you to please continue to submit. Our production output is increasing and it's an ongoing event, so there is no deadline.
Whoever said this is just advertising is incorrect. Well, actually, he's correct in that it is a real advertisement for sketch submissions and I really do read every single sketch I receive. But the purpose of this post is to find writers, not viewers.
Of the sketches and/or loglines I have received, I have passed a dozen or so on to the producers. Of those, we discussed a few, but nothing has been accepted yet.
I go through the same process with the submissions I get from writers at Second City, UCB, ImprovOlympic, etc.
I'm a writer, too, and I know it's a bit frustrating. Unfortunately, rejection is a huge part of being a writer. They have rejected WAY more of my work than they've accepted. The reality is that whether you're writing live-action drama or sketch comnedy, the rejection to acceptance ratio is always going to exist.
But there are alot of people doing comedy on YouTube and we get the best professional animators we can. People from Beavis and Butthead, Robot chicken, etc. So we're looking for original, high-concept material that strikes a certain chord.
I've seen some very funny stuff, so please keep submitting, and please know that your sketches are being read and appreciated.
Best,
Jon
PS:
Evan: A couple of emails went into my spam folder for some reason, but I don't thimk yours was one of them. Feel free to email me again
I sent some stuff in and haven't heard anything yet. Do you send rejection emails? Can I continue to send stuff?
Hi,
I try to respond to everyone, but it's not always possible. We just moved into new offices (first day today!) so things have been a bit hectic. But I do read every sketch I get, and just because one sketch doesn't suit our needs, it doesn't mean you can't send in more. In fact, the more you send, the greater your chances.
And as I mentioned, it's an ongoing project and there's no deadline, so please feel free to submit anytime.
We're expanding and will have more than two teams soon, and we're planning a TV Show for early next year, so there will be a lot more opportunities.
Check out our YouTube show www.youtube.com/adasport to see our current animations and see what we're doing.
If you're wondering about a specific sketch, you can email me. I don't know your scripts by yourscreen names, only the names under which they were submitted, so I may not know unless you contact me.
Cheers!
Jon
I've just submitted a couple of sketches.
