Well no, of course not. But then the Hoff isn't a comedy writer who's probably mates with, or at very least knows, the regular writers anyway...
Never Mind The Buzzcocks - Series 25 Page 3
Aaanyway, the point being Buxton's stuff was very amusing! No matter how it came about.
I would be quite happy if he did it every week, or at least several per series.
Or sutin.
What I meant about it being a disappointment was that, apart from the bit before the titles, which was hilarious, Will Young has terrible. He couldn't read the auto cue and all that bird stuff felt a little forced ad wasn't funny. As much as I hated Paul Foot last time he was on, he actually made me laugh a few times in this episode.
Also, I don't think that drawing round worked, Noel's went on far too long.
I liked the drawing. But then I do still miss that programme Win, Lose or Draw.
BRING IT BACK.
It could have been good, but it was too long.
Paul Foot is unnecessary.
The haircut-to-comedy-talent ratio is just all wrong.
Weak episode overall. Will Young was a poor host.
Quote: zooo @ November 1 2011, 1:30 AM BSTI've never thought that any of the other hosts had anything to do with what they did. Never even occured to me. But Buxton's really did seem to be his own ideas. Not all the rounds, but some of it. Especially the stupid songs, it was exactly the same as the stuff he does on his own programmes.
Quote: Aaron @ November 1 2011, 1:34 AM BSTIt may very well be that he wrote the actual songs, but as I understand it, he would've been asked by the writers/producers to provide such material for the show.
Quote: zooo @ November 1 2011, 1:35 AM BSTSure, I can believe that part. But I doubt they asked any of the other hosts to do that, like the Hoff. Because they wouldn't be capable.
Is this the way you two always communicate?
Yep.
What an odd episode... I feel like the telly's given me tranquilisers
Hmm, who's next?
Edit: Just saw the banner
As you were.
Greg Davies has always been the biggest fan of own material.
I think people put up with him because they're worried he might hurt them.
Frankie Boyle should replace Phill Jupitus permanently.

That was a mental episode.
They really ripped into Amy Childs.
Flipping loved the big to little with Greg and Tinchy (joke didn't get old).
Thought Frankie was ace although it felt weird him being on the screen again... has he been away a very long time.
There was a hint a lot of jokes weren't going to be able to be aired... would have loved to have been at that recording.

She's got a real talent for having the piss taken out of her.
