When you check the tube lines before heading off, and then by the time you get to the station the line is suspended. You are then forced to go about 20 minutes the other way to another station, which is the longer route to work making you extra late.

Blimey, that's pushing it.
From December 1st it is forgivable. I would feel silly putting my tree up more than 2 weeks before Christmas but sometimes I put some lights up in my bedroom before that, December 1st is my cut off point for still having self respect though.

Yeah, I noticed two houses on my walk home the other night completely covered in lights and glowing 'Merry Christmas' signs. Idiots. I hope someone tears them down! Why on earth would you put them up this early? I can only assume they are twats.
Maybe a child lives there who is terminally ill and might not make it to Christmas. 
I think they're more likely to be complete twats who are prematurely shooting their Christmas cheer over everyone.
I understand shops promoting Christmas ludicrously early but I can't see the ulterior motive for anyone decorating their house just yet. A desperate bid to get value for money from their decorations?
