Hi.

Welcome, newbie like me. I looked at it on YouTube. Looked like your budget was pretty good. The sound and camera, is it a BBC commission?

Well I'm not sure if that's sarcasm?! haha :-)

It was filmed on a budget of zero, I did have around £300.00 that went on food and drink for the cast and crew over 4 days.

We borrowed the equipment from a university, tbh the camera was average..

And no it's not been commisioned by anyone, I wrote it and got it off the ground myself, decided rather than sending the screenplay around and it sitting around on desks collecting dust I'd put together a crew and film it myself!

Now just promoting it, if we get enough interest I'll write and film more episodes.

Just watched the first 5 minutes...I really liked what I saw so far. The Kevin character is very well played, likeable and believable. I liked the bit at the start where he's talking to the camera with the other guy just looking on and nodding. The audition was funny too.
I thought the voiceover where he is introduced was unnecessary as we can already see what he's about, and when he's walking along the street I think it would have been funny to have a song played to that instead, like a 'Saturday Night Fever' type opening scene.
I'll certainly have a look at the rest of it.

But oi!!!!!!!!! haha the opening V.O is meeeee!!!!!

That's okay though... any opinion is valid and appriciated.

For me writing it, the V.O is meant to ease you into Kevin, had you not read the synopsis on the website you'd know nothing about him!

Imagine you saw that on TV for the first time and knew nothing about him, the V.O just sets up the first episode ready to go.

Also we have the music with the opening credits, we wouldn't have wanted to jump straight into more music, it would start playing out like an MTV video.
