Least Favourite Song Page 2

Right on Time by Black Box. Grates the hell out of me.

Dolly Parton's latest one.

I hate songs that sound really horrible, but still somehow manage to be hugely popular, e.g. 'Born Slippy' by Underworld or 'Go' by Moby. Really simple, noisy "thud, thud" shit that an 8-year-old could put together in about half an hour.

Kylie Minogue songs, especially 'Can't Get You out of My Head' - I'm in danger of rippping out the car radio when that song comes on. Bugger! Now I've thought of it, it'll stick in my brain for the rest of the day.

Rocket Man by Elton John.

"Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it's cold as hell
And there's no one there to raise them if you did
And all this science I don't understand
It's just my job five days a week
A rocket man, a rocket man"

What a twat.

As a record I like it - but the lyrics! Sorry Bernie but - Hell is supposed to be hot - and what would he do at weekends? Turn the rocket off?

I hate records that sample a famous intro - such as Are Friends Electric - and then it's not what you're hoping for. "Beat the intro" competitions must be a nightmare nowadays.

Mistletoe And Wine by Cliff Richard.

It'll be due out again shortly.

I like that one!
Very Christmassy.

Jive Bunny started that trend.

Jive Bunny started that trend.

No they didn't. At least they started the right song. Its just unoriginal and not very clever.

I also hate so-called "Big Beat" music, that takes a short vocal sample, and just repeats it over and over again, e.g. 'The Rockabilly Skank' by Fatboy Slim. I'd rather just listen to that without the vocal sample, or even with a singer or rapper on top of it instead.

Here's a little clip of the rapper whose voice was sampled and repeated over and over by Norman Cook, from back in the days when MTV was a music channel, and not a Reality T.V. channel (skip to 2:10): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNzLL8lDN9s

I thought Jive Bunny would come uup.

Jenny from the bloc by the repulsive J-Lo or whatever she calls herself nowadays.

I wish that I could fly
So very high
Into the sky

...

Lenny Kravitz? He must have been taking the piss.

Didn't Keith Harris and Orville do that first? 'I wish I could fly way up in the sky, but I can't'
'You can'
'I can't'

Lenny Kravitz was another one who was a great musician, could sing OK - but couldn't write lyrics for toffee.

Anything by Coldplay

Bunch of wet boring dismal twats
