I haven't seen tonight's show. Are you saying Misha and Sophie were the bottom two and Sophie was kicked off? How many bowls of wrong is that? Theirs were two of the best performances on Saturday.
One of the X-Factor's problems, credibility-wise, is that the judges and presenter talk a lot of bull when it suits them. It suited the show for everyone to say that The Risk were great last night, but they were out of tune. Similarly, the bookies' favourite from Ireland, bless her, is always praised even though last night she seemed to have only a cursory knowledge of Sting's music. This might be considered a good thing, but not when you're supposed to be singing it.

That is indeed what happened.
Didn't pay much attention to The Risk, but thought that Irish girl, much as I do like her, was well out of tune- everyone just seems to ignore when people they like give dreadful performances. But then if the voting audience are as thick as it seems, perhaps it's better to work by propaganda so people get a chance to improve if they're generally good

Rufus Hound is on the Xtra Factor now and actually being quite funny.
Janet, the Irish girl's version of Every Breath You Take was bloody awful. Kitty can sing but she's a touch touched I think.
Johnny's the real star of the show, he's got a damn good voice.
I like Kitty- proper pop stars should be a bit unstable, who needs more blah in their lives?

Despite being generally not keen on Janet, I actually quite liked that. She gave it the creepiness the original deserved but lacked.

That was the production rather than her singing though, I thought. I do like her, and I like what they tried to do with it, but..

I can sing it out of tune and make it even creeepier.
It is good though, at last, for a mainstream show to acknowledge that it is a very creepy song. Apparently some people use it at weddings thinking it is an expression of love.
