I'm so worried about plagiarism that I never post my stuff, send it to producers or even write it down.
Blatant plagiarism Page 4
Quote: AJGO @ October 25 2011, 12:12 AM BSTBecause in my OCD way I always click on everything so that there aren't untidy 'unread' symbols but when I'm writing something in particular I always try to steer clear of reading any threads/posts that look like they might be similar so that I don't even accidentally nick ideas; but now if I have done something same-y it'll look like I did read it elsewhere first. And I know this scenario is unlikely, I'm just sad that I thought I was being all mature and professional but actually I was being a huge idiot
Clicking on everything so as to keep your page tidy? That's the most suspicious thing I've ever heard!
Anyway, I still remember the delight I had when the "Window or aisle" joke popped fully formed into my head. I felt crap when someone pointed out how unoriginal it was. But it saved me from making a fool of myself by submitting it somewhere.
So, posting ideas on the critique forum and having people point out any problems of "borrowing" is a good way of avoiding problems further down the line.

I'm so worried about plagarism I recite nursery rhymes 24/7 to prevent me having any original ideas anyone can steal.

What an original idea!
Might use that...
The one thing I dislike around discussion on plagiarism is MY often quoted line "Talent borrows, genius steals." Anything that perpetuates the idea that it's okay to steal fosters a bad mindset for any 'creative'.

Didn't work for me as I am infact employed to write nursery rhymes and have been plagarised to hell and back.

I wouldn't steal Fosters. As you all know I hate lager.
Quote: Aaron @ March 25 2008, 4:18 AM BSTPhill, we actually keep a record of everything everyone reads, so don't worry about being accused of nicking from something you haven't seen!
F**king huge database, but heyho.
What about if I happen to revisit 'Who do you fancy' and accidentally click on and linger awhile on Russell Crowe in the bath, is that recorded?....
Yes, on internet traffic cameras.
A quick Google reveals this as being an original idea, so:-

I went to Berkeley Square once but didn't hear a single nightingale...and as for Cockfosters...big let down.
