I'm appalling at recognising people so unless you're standing in that exact position, in black and white, with EllieJP written near you, that won't help
Lots of people there will be groups of after-work drinkers, so strange looking groups doesn't narrow it down, and what if I'm the second or third there? I'll have to be brave and ask everyone in the pub if they're BCG, and put up with odd/pitying looks all evening because I don't know who I'm meeting, or possibly people saying yes but lying. Venturing out into the real world is well stressful

I'm wondering if that pub is big enough, it will be the season of Christmas Office Parties & Boozeups. It will be very full on that Friday evening I suspect and it isn't a very big pub. I think about 60 seats inside and about 16 seats on benches outside (brrrrr).
Maybe we need a backup plan.
