Sorry.
I was trying to be helpful.
I sensed some latent talent that I felt was being wasted.
Time to move on, I think.

Just out of interest will you give this show ago?
It was the first online series and was incredibly popular.

Admittedly some of my annoyance about comedyoflifes posts was passed on to you while my back was up. Your later comments were far more workable, so thanks.

Initially it was like, heres my drawing daddy. Ohthat's shit should have stuck with mud pies.

Not sure how my name crept into all this, but for the record I really liked the piece to Camera at the start of the show, the G T Yarmouth line and I think you guys can perform. Haven't watched it all. The comments from me on the other thread were to do with my thinking the OP was being trolled. Didn't get the ensemble thing. Unusual spelling of Peirson by the way - I like it. Any relation to the dentist in Norwich?

What? I like this guy.

Looking back on that last thread I'm not surprised at the confusion or trolling suspicions. We really went off on one, getting into a comedy character is dangerous for us. Thanks for your thoughts, I just brought you into it as I was searching you and your writing expertise at the time so it came to mind.

We can keep your secret identity, a secret identity, a secret I have changed the post. ;)

Thanks for your thoughts. We plan on keeping the piece to camera for all our shorts for a familiarity with the audience, hopefully it works. Also the rest of our shorts will be shorter.

:D

It's okay it's not a secret identity I just have two different spellings - long story, and my real one, the unusual spelling, is shared I noticed by one of your team.

One of my team and a local Dentist.

Thanks for your comments.
Which of your books is the best one? I don't mind a good thriller.
Probably the worst question to ask an author

Well they are a series so Hard Evidence is the first one and Private London was outside of the series. As to best, hopefully the next one I write lol.

right, well then I'll check out the first one.
always looking for new books!

Murder Club is out now in the supermarkets etc, Hard E might have to be tracked down online - the way book shops are going :(

just bought it, will let you know what I think.
Plot sounds good though. maybe make a film of it later and pay you a fortune. Stick with the kids.

All I can see is a big disconnect between what someone thinks they've created and what their actual output is. Which is a shame, especially when posting stuff to this site.

You say you're more cerebral than "man falls down" (which apparently is all we laugh at in between wanks) yet you have man can't pick up weight, man eats raw egg and throws up and a number of bodybuilder isn't strong gags...they've been around since the dawn of time. You're not doing anything new there.

I really like and really support people making films and I totally commend that you're out there making films. You've shot it on a DSLR and it looks good, there are hints of decent stuff, but they're fleeting moments.

I see a lot of what you're trying to achieve, and there are passages like when BM starts "its your body" when cameraman steps up and obviously outdoes his attempts, that's hinting at some decent stuff, but it needs more work.

I'd like to help you, but I fear you would let your arrogance get in the way of that, I think you need an external perspective, it would really improve your work. If you were in London I'd suggest beers and a discussion, I'm not a c**t, I'd like to help and kick some ideas around to try and improve your work and that's what separates me from a being a critic/troll/whatever, offers there if you want.

I will take you up on that! Time/place?

Live in London Bridge, work in Liverpool Street so I'm fairly flexible. The regular Comedy Writing meet I attend is the London Comedy Writers, next event is the 25th October at 7pm, so you could join for that, otherwise I'm easy.

We're all for constructive criticism. This was a first project where it was a lot about the experience and a learning curve. You think we're arrogant but im just stunned by everyone's initial slams to then become mature and helpful.

We know that we need external perspective. It is difficult to have an elaborate conversation, breaking down the project when you insist on being overtly negative.
What you just said is a far cry from your original statement. The comedy for us doesn't lie in the physical moments that you pointed out but we use them as a narrative to convey the character. It isn't in the eating of the egg, or inability to lift weights but the pretense and psychology of a person who would do that. A man who gets a camera crew in and pretends to get up at 5, lift weights that are beyond him, pretends he eats eggs raw as he has heard about it somewhere. Lies about living with his mum and his work and his life.

If your serious about meeting up we will, ben lives in london and we will work, write and create with anybody. Like I said though this is a far cry from your original message, and from what I here a further one from your unedited version. Thanks for your comments

We will definitely, meet in that case. We live in Norwich so will have to sort it out via Ben but assume this is happening.

done, absolutely happy to meet up, let me know what works for you boys and we can go from there.
