Yes, because it is a steaming pile of horse shit. The actual figure is something like 20% control 80% of the wealth, but it doesn't make for a good rallying cry if you decide to attack 1 in 5 Americans -- many of whom are older and earned/saved/invested for their entire lives to achieve a comfortable living.
The Occupy Wall Street rallies are nothing but election year politics. I haven't seen any of the protesters vilifying billionaires like Steve Jobs (made his billions from Chinese sweatshops) or George Soros (he bankrolls protests like these) because it's all political. Substitute "Republican" every time you hear "1%" and you'll be closer to the truth.
