There's lovely boyo!
A moment of sheer madness!!! From the referee. What an absolute plonker. His next game should be a schoolboy match!
Right - so you've all got to support the ABs now!
ESpecially after all the crap they've had to put with such as earthquakes and bloody bastard oil spills!
(Unless of course the Aussies get lucky but whatever happens we don't want the bloody Frogs to win it - especially after they JUST scraped through their group!)
I know it sounds silly and churlish but, I can't understand why a referee with a French father is allowed to referee a semi final in which France are playing !
Anyway, proud of the team, they've done wonderfully and with fifteen players I reckon we would have seen off the French by 15-20 points.
Life is full of 'if only's (I should know I've been married three times!) but, even given that we missed eight points with boot, why wasn't there a drop goal attempt with about five minutes to go?
Ah wll, there it is, onwards and upwards. 3/4 place play off and Six Nations next and the heart of this team is good for another two WCs.
(from someone without a drop of Welsh blood in him!)

This was the real tragedy, so many opportunities so to do! Odd.
I know.
It seemed like they were playing for a penalty.
Understandable in a way. It's a lot less frenetic than a drop goal but with a DG you're in charge and not reliant on someone else's mistake.
Whatever happens next Friday, we can come home with our heads held high !
Cymru am byth.
I think they should be really gutted.
What an oppotunity blown.
they'll probably do the English thing & blame a controversial decision.
But really that just masks the fact that they came up short when it really really mattered.
They were the better team and should have been in the final
To be fair, they were extremely close with all the kicks. After Hook missed the first longish one, I thought they should've gone straight to Halfpenny with the next, it was closer in than the one he missed by inches.
The drop goal thing is an issue that could haunt them tho, the team were in that zone for about 5 minutes! What on earth was Jones doing coming into the ruck??? Where he lost the ball.
I have an awful feeling France are going to be monumental next week.
If your man had gone for better position with the try rather than pointing with his finger, your other man might have converted it too. I said it at the time but nobody seemed to comment on it. It would have only been a few more yards but it would have opened the goal doors a little wider and he only missed by the smallest amount.
Comiserations to Wales. Atrocious decision.
Given the way that the Blacks played today theoretically no one should be able to live with them next week. However, bearing in mind the AB capacity to choke it's not a certainty. And to add to the mix the opposition is France, who were responsible for sending the ABs home early last time round. A repeat of the 1987 final but no prediction as to who wins.

Not at all surprised by the 3 week ban, the bods are defending themselves by laying down the law. It's unfairly hard on Warburton and Wales, that's all. Are they now going to ban the others who made worse looking tackles but only got a yellow?
The more honest, braver thing to do was to aknowledge a top ref made a snap decision without seeing the intent or consulting the video ref, after just 18 mins of a huge semi final. The ref was clearly more swayed by the French reaction and the limpness of Clerc who probably milked it for all it's worth. That decision just smacks of superiority and arrogance to me. No wonder clubs have had such trouble with the governing bodies over the years, they are self regarding dinosaurs.
And are we really to believe that had Warburton's counterpart, Richie McCaw made that tackle in their semi, he would have been sent off and then banned for 3 weeks? Who do they think we are?!!!
I'm not a huge fan of the all blacks but I do hope they smack les Bleus next week, as they should not be there.

Oh I don't know. Livremont's press conference today was brilliant. He hates the team and the team hate him. I loved the bit where he told them not to go out Saturday night and to a man they ignored him. But perhaps the English now can understand why they weren't exactly feted when they got to the last final as France have followed pretty much the same pattern.
think you've got a point over the ban. I was surprised that it was so harsh and of course McCaw wouldn'r even have been sent off. Just hope the ABs keep faith in themselves and play like they can play. What makes them so deeply unloveable in my book is that they are by far the most gifted team on the planet but because of their so fragile mind set if there is the slightest hint of things going wrong they immediately resort to the most appalling foul play. (Phil De Glanville's face and the multiple stitches needed on the 1991 tour anyone?).
I agree, that's the same reason I'm not a big fan, despite their obvious quality. I'll throw in the infamous (over here) two man speartackle on O'Driscoll that was ignored by the refs etc. but sent home the Lions captain after about 3 minutes of play and wrecked his shoulder. It's hardly mentioned over there or by the refs or the gov. bodies! They are lets face it, the Barcelona of the rugby world. They get off with murder, or attempted murder.
The ref gave a red card on what he saw. He was unsighted when his hands came off but when he had full sight again the welshman had his hands by the Frenchman's head so he saw something that didn't happen. That was why he was red carded. It's like a conjuring trick. Nobody was at fault really, unless they change the rules to allow technology decide on red cards these things happen. Wales had plenty of opportunities, amazingly, to take an historic win, but didn't take them.
