Anybody listen to Rory Bremner's Tonight on Radio 4?
It sounded a lot like Newsjack but with Rory Bremner.
I bet Rory's available for series 6.........

It's 8am. I'm at work. Currently scouring the BBC News website for stories. This week I've got around ten (so far) to work on. I'm going to spend tomorrow night 'honing' them down.

Good luck though I'm not sure how it'll help the writing
I've written a sketch regarding the Steps reunion and subsequent topping of the album charts. It's either great or atrocious. I can't tell, so I'm sending it in anyway...
I don't know anything about them, so um... Probably atrocious then.
I was thinking about doing an american psycho spoof with werritty obsesed with his business card, but not sure how popular the orignal movie was

Can't believe there was no Tragedy joke there. Call yourself a comedy writer?

That's a great idea Blahblah, that scene's epic. I imagine it would be hard to spoof on the radio though.

It's in the script I'm writing, that's good enough.
May actually get two sketches out tonight. Have already finished one, but it has nine (yes, count them, nine) nob gags in it. Not smutty at all though and contains my favourite punchline I've yet created. I can't wait until Thursday - you know, to share it with you at about 6pm...
Ok - managed three - but will be knackered at work tomorrow. I'd bunk off but that air ambulance won't pilot itself.

I did and posted on the current radio comedy thread. Personally thought that this week's NJ was better than Tonight. (Nothing to do with getting on it. Honest.) Tonight is struggling for its format. Once they've worked out the precise roles of the contributors and the balance between them, it should flow better. But Rory was probably funnier on SCD.
Sent off three sketches again, covering laser pens, CCTV and Peter Capaldi.
And a final three off from here. Our batch includes 66 Books play based on the Bible, Dimmer street lights & Royal Wootton Basset.
Something there to offend everyone.
I've sent off three very quirky sketches.
My three covered rising unemployment, Jeremy Clarkson and parenting classes. Once again, good luck everyone.
