Looks like both sketches of mine also missed by quite a distance, slim hope of a one-liner sneaking through again. On the plus side most of the listed sketches actually sound pretty funny, so should be a good edition.

It was a very funny night. I enjoyed it lots. Should be a great show tonight.

Hurrah for you!
Good luck for the edit Trabs.
Don't want to be picky but one of the reasons why the selection of the shadow cabinet was changed was to keep Diane Abbott out of it but never let the facts get in the way of a good joke. (I'm only picking holes because this obviously has shunted my ugly Cabinet offering out of consideration.)
Well done Trabs.

Yes, well done Trabs. That sketch got lots of laughs, so I'd have thought it should have a good chance of making the edit. Mind you it was a packed club and the whole thing went better than the first episode, which was also recorded there.
To be fair to the writer of the cabinet sketch it may well not have been Diane Abbott, I know it was a female Labour MP but can't remember exactly who. It was actually a very good sketch, as were the puppy-eating one and Dow Jones's Diary.

Glad you said that, as Dow Jones's Diary was a rewritten version of a sketch I wrote.
I had an app recorded too.

Another potential credit Dan? You're on fire! And congrats to Trabs as well. Look forward to hearing them later.
I'm clinging to the hope that I sent in a one-liner about playing a QE version of monopoly (or 'cheating' as we used to call it) but I fear the sketch will be nothing to do with me.
There's always the apps... There's always the apps... There's always the apps...

Hey, I'm just bitter and twisted. But to be honest Diane is a name that most people will have heard of.
Nice one Dan. Does this mean Bourbons to celebrate?
Cheers guys. No Bourbons: I had a couple of Sports biscuits but it turns out they went off in March.
I don't remember that particular one-liner, Steve. Unless they based a whole sketch on it?
Dan
Here's a preview of the Bruce Forsyth sketch.
Thanks Ian - to be honest I can't make sense of the newsjack brief this series. The brucie sketch - although I enjoyed it - was quite an obvious route and they say don't write anything obvious. Also the people who saw the recording they said that Justin plays werritty camp so I would be interetsed to see if they avoid homophobic or cheap jokes - something they complained about on web chat. although from the sketches they've reported seeing at the recording it does sound like a good show tonight
The Dow Jones sketch was brilliant and made me stupidly envious! Need to up my game for the last week...

I guess the rule is, by all means write obviously if you absolutely nail that obvious route without any problem. But for inexperienced writers, I suspect you're more likely to get on with a blindingly original idea that needs a polish, than another not-quite-right version of an idea that's been submitted by twenty or thirty different people.
Brucie went down really well with the crowd though. Any sketch that is perfect for Lewis to ham up will do well
