Moving Wallpaper - Series 1

Anyone watching this?

Why are posts one hour behind now?

Because the server people are bloody idiots. >_<

Perhaps it's British Sitcom Time.

I started to watch it, seemed a little slow, and got distracted. Anyway, anyone else actually watch it?

Watched it & it was ok.

I didn't watch the soap but I watch the sitcom episode, and I thought it was enjoyable. Ben Miller's character was great and Susie Amy just trying to get a single line was funny. James Lance didn't do much though.

Laughing out loud Very good!

I'm beginning to get incredibly tired of the self-obsession the media has. It seems that every other comedy is about celebrity or TV or the industry in some way. Believe it or not, there is a world out there beyond the media, so let's have some shows about it.

I forgot to mention. I watched the show and didn't think much of it, although Miller was watchable as ever.

I thought it was quite good and I liked the links between it and Echo Beach.

I laughed out loud when they showed the child crying in 'Echo Beach' - if you watched Moving Wallpaper, you'd understand why!

Very promising series.

I liked it. Ben Miller was excellent as always and it was entertaining without necessarily being hilarious.

Echo Beach however was sub-Hollyoaks trash.

Ben Miller's character was just too much of a cliche for me and the show itself is nowhere near as good as 30 Rock or Studio 60.

I think it's supposed to be cheesy, but being worse than Hollyoaks is a triumph, ha.

I thought Moving Wallpaper was alright... it hooked me enough that I'll tune in again.

The back-to-back idea is flawed though. Moving Wallpaper completely undermines the 'real' soap opera that follows. Still, credit where credit is due - it's quite a brave and unique idea, especially for ITV.

I didnt see episode one, but I thought the second one was really good. Funny and with good performances; and a great little end bit where the 'casualty' scene comes back to haunt Miller! Ouch!! A promising series. And on ITV as well, whod have thought?

I've seen both episodes now - I agree Matthew, quite good! I'm going to keep watching. I haven't bothered with the Echo Beach soap afterwards though.
