Oh I see.

(Looks up "androgynous" on Google.)

I've just learned that BBC Two is to broadcast a French sketch show called Women!. It will be on 20th October at 23.50.

Have you heard any news suggesting we'll be getting Dagvaktin and Fangavaktin after BBC showed Naeturvaktin, Ian?

I haven't heard anything about that sadly, but if I do I'll be sure to post it.

Thanks... if they are not going to be shown on TV I may have to order the DVDs from Iceland.

There's a new sketch show on S4C called Dim Byd. It's on after the Wednesday repeat of Pobol y Cwm and (I think) it's the first sketch show that's been on since Mawr.

I only got to see the first episode, but there were a couple of really funny moments. My Welsh isn't what it used to be, but some bits are pretty universal.

I'd imagine there'd be subtitles. There usually is.

Cheers, Ian. Fingers crossed.

American, Rodney Dangerfield.. well it's not very good English.

Found it funny though.

Something that may be of interest, I don't know, but there is a Japanese anime comedy film coming out next month which is set in London.

It is the film version of a musical comedy called K-On!, which is about a bunch of schoolgirls who set up their own band. The TV series is currently being released at the moment.

Here is the film trailer for those interested.

This is "Jiskefet" from Holland.

From Belgian are the 'benidorm bastards' or old people pulling pranks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iJN9Tiht-k

If you guys like it I will dig around for some more.

Benidorm Basterds has just won an International Emmy award. Very funny take on tried format.

I bought Dagvaktin and the prison one a while ago. I've just got round to watching some of Dagvaktin - it's very good. Just one annoying thing about the DVD's is that the subtitles include sound effects. I guess this is a one-size fits all that helps the deaf, it can be a bit distracting.

Just finished watching another comedy anime which I think I should recommend, which is Ouran High School Host Club, a romantic comedy. I'm not usually into romantic comedy but I did find this one to very good. There's silliness, parody, comedy about class (which as a Brit is something we are used to) - it's highly enjoyable.

Following on from all of their recent Norwegian dramas, BBC Four is now going to show a Norwegian comedy drama - Lilyhammer, about a former New York mobster who under the Witness Protection Programme moves to Lillehammer.

Netflix has the rights to Lilyhammer in the USA and all 8 episodes are up for streaming now. I got the first episode watched... it's good, a bit slow at times but it is a "comedy drama". Silvio was always one of my favourite Sopranos, so seeing Van Zandt take the character to this show is no problem for me.

;) Moomin Trolls, amazing and funny , bloody hours of laughter!
