GRAMS:AMBULANCE CHASING ADVERT

ADVERT V/O:
Do *you* represent a company who used to provide 'No Win, No Fee' legal advice to people who couldn't otherwise afford it? Yes?! Well, then *you* may be entitled to lump sum compensation!

F/X:BUTTON CLICK. MUSIC STOPS ABRUPTLY

PRODUCER:
(D) Erm, Patrick?

ADVERT V/O:
Yes?

PRODUCER:
(D) They're not entitled to anything.

ADVERT V/O:
Really? Damn. This is really going to put a kink in my income...

It's good but it feels too short. The V/O should become desperate and try to voice other adverts, each time being knocked down by the producer. I'm not sure what those adverts should be though?

They have used a few shorter sketches this series so length might not have counted against it but to me it was a bit lacking in possible laughs.

I meant that I wanted to see more of the sketch, rather than referring to the length requirement.

IIRC I don't think I was referring to what you said, just addressing length issues in my own mind regarding NJ sketches.

I read this earlier and also felt it was too short. You could get much more out of the idea - and it's a good one - by taking it further.

Funny, the first draft was *way* too long!

I know what you all mean though. I have been trying to keep it shorter this series, as Corey mentioned, though I obviously should make it funnier, as Corey mentioned.

Mitchell and Webb already did something similar - "have you been injured while filming an advert about being injured?" - had quite a few iterations and was quite amusing.

Well, number 1: it was Armstrong & Miller who did this but, and I think this is more important, I wrote that sketch for Play & Record on Radio 7 (as it was back then) back in 2007, way before A&M did it. In fact, it's posted here when it was an original Recorded For Training Purposes reject.
