Outnumbered - Series 4 Page 4
Ben and the ventriloquist dummy...great tonight, bit of extra flavour having the sister turn up, though the girl with her was a bit odd.
Very funny tonight, Ben's dummy, Angela and Jake's lap dancing 19 year old girlfriend all were very amusing.
Pole dancing! Lap dancing is tacky...
My apologies, of course pole dancing is an art form and lap dancing is sheer smut.
So they say!
(Pole dancers that is, not anyone else.)
Still a great programme, but not quite as good as earlier series, at least so far. The mother is starting to irritate me a lot now - particularly her interaction with Jake - she's not funny, just really, really annoying.

Are you sure? I looked for it.

I don't think she's supposed to be funny - or Hugh Dennis either. It's the whole interaction with the kids.

Am 99% sure.

Not 100% then!
Nope!
I haven't like, watched it back to check or anything!

It had the chain on, so there's no need to worry. What's more, she was never in any danger, because she's only a fictional character FFS.
It was by far the best episode so far this series, the sister really helped.
Quote: sidecar jon @ September 21 2011, 2:57 PM BSTI discussed it with the wife. Her view was it's funny because it's happening to "middle class people"... class war is alive and well ah!
Are they middle class? I would have said working class. The dad is a supply teacher, the mum a secretary of some sort. They live in a nice but average sized house and we've had storylines about them struggling for money before.
Still middle class. As a secretary and teacher they don't really work, do they.
The parents are quite nicely drawn, I think. They are definitely on the soft and liberal side but then for a sitcom you can't really have parents whacking their kids and shouting at them.

Three children and an actual house, in North London, is definitely middle class
