I don't. So no. Seen a few catching a shower at the rails. Are you a betting man OR? Pro gamblers take the bookies down, mug punters lose their shirt often as not. not sure where you are putting yourself here?

No, don't gamble at all but I tend to think that the bookies know best. OK, there's the odd exception but generally I think they get it right.

I always remember Al Murray talking about Johnny Wilkinson being great because his name comes from the two most manly British things.

Well that's a kind of I don't know what I am talking about statement but these guys who run a book obviously must know something that I don't do - but I will go with what they say kind of thing even though I don't bet but I will hold them up as the gods of knowledge unless they are wrong of course. Me I will just really enjoy, truly relish, watching each match game by game. and stick with what I said above. :)

Whistling nnocently

It seems like the Six Nations has taken over the World Cup in New Zealand.
Laughing out loud

Yeah or the draw will head to a Southern Hemisphere Northern Hemisphere final. Doh"

Not too sure the point you're making here. My point was there are a lot of Six Nations matches lined up, due to Ireland doing over the Aussies.

And any one of them could end up as lambs to the slaughter in the final, not just England. England may well grind and kick their way there, but they have been poor. On form, they are the least likely of the three to make it.

And I can understand why they get booed every game. They said they'd play better rugby this time, but they've gone back to Wilkinson, who isn't even in form! It's depressing. And that vaunted pack isn't even performing. Scotland out muscled them.

What form are you referring to. They haven't lost a match and won their group with a massive PD. Unless you mean form in a kind of general namby pamby it's my opinion kind of thing. Form is to do with figures. They are not number four in the world before this tournament because a bunch of people sat around in the pub drinking pints and voting amongst themselves! If Scotland could score a try they might have won and if I could run a hundred metres in under ten seconds I'd be in the olympics next year. I can't, They didn't. That;s how sport works. It's not a boxing match. Points on the board is all that counts. We have world class talent in our squad - maybe the tactics the captaincy the management can be discussed - but not that. England will be in the final.

No, I mean form in figures. The figures that tell the story of their victories. Outplayed up front by Scotland, a supposedly inferior pack. They didn't look so to me. We snatched win in last 3 mins. Wilkinson with about 50% goal kick rate, poor for him. Against Argentina it was much the same, the pack not pushing Argies around as expected, and Wilkinson's goal kicking rate was even worse, I think his worst on record. Wilko is not in great form.

Both games strewn with errors, especially from the forwards. Discipline poor in both games too. Three matches missed by players for bans. Just two tries scored against half decent mid ranked teams. A four point winning margin in both games.
Their form has been poor!! Especially in their strong areas, the pack, the set piece and goal kicking. Johnson must be concerned!

Yes they may still get to final, as they've been there and done it before, and they may yet find some form up front and with boot. But they are certainly not frightening the teams they are to face on the way, especially Ireland and Wales, who have been impressive and have both beaten England this year.

If either team keep their form and players intact, I doubt if England will make the final this time, myself. While I'd love to see Wales get there, I think Ireland are better built for it, playing a bit more like England, and their key players are hitting great form, especially in the pack, where England's star players look out of form and nervy. I don't see England beating Ireland. Myself.

Well give us some figures then??? It ain't complicated. Form. Figures. No match lost yet. You don't see England beating Ireland? I laugh at you here and now and one of us is going to look a wanker. That's a bit like a bet. :D

I'll live with it, I'd much rather be seen as a wanker than smug and arrogant. Myself. And I put the figures there, you chose to ignore them.

I bet you'd've said the same when we went to Dublin in March for the grand slam and got thumped.

And some people wonder why the rest of the World despise England teams . . . . .

;)

What are the figures then? Why would you prefer to be seen as a wanker than smug and arrogant by the way? Not sure they are mutually exclusive. And you clearly missed my point about me looking a wanker as well. But hey.

I'm not ITy so I can't do links and stuff, but the figures will be online somehere for sure. Pretty sure they'll show our lack of tries against the two half decent teams, the missed kicks, the cited tackles, the penalties given away, the penalty kicks missed.

England won both, that's true, but as a writer you know that's only half the story. They looked poor and up against it in both narrow victories. That's a truth they cannot hide from viewers' eyes. If England get to the final, I don't think it'll be on present form. They could yet decide to all turn up, especially the pack (bar the magnificent Croft) and perform to their ability but they definitely aren't doing it yet. imooo.
