British Comedy Guide

Saying Hi

Hi everyone on Comedy.co.uk forums

I found the site through the David Croft website today Teary

A comedy writing great, an absolute legend in fact bids us all fair well.

RIP David Croft (Where is the thread that no doubt already exists RE that please?)

So that is how I found my way here and that was about 5 mins after I put WACICO Wave online.

That is something new I am preparing for myself and a number of cartoonists who have worked with me on my Double T Ted's cartoon characters with me.

So a little about me I created and designed some new Teddy Bear characters called the Double T Ted's

Examples
DoubletTeds .com
HostTed .com .net
ConstructTed .com
Tted .co .com .co.uk
InvestTed .com
CartoonistTed .com
IllustratTed .com
MotivatTed .com
TwitTed .co
TemplatTed .com
TouristTed
etc etc
there are over 6028 in all and counting.

I am trying to write a novel for them and have three badly written chapters to first draft but that needs re writing and elaborating on as some of the present first draft content went a direction I now have a better idea for.

I probably have the best part of six chapters (and more)in my head that could be worked on to actually expand into a full blown book.

I envisage the film about 6 years away if I find a writing partnership capable of writing a book that would make a blockbuster billion dollar plus animated movie.

To see the sort of daft stuff I have written recently check out the jokes forum on TVworlds.com

Also the spoof vBulletin home page on the index page b4 you get to the forum.

I am hoping to get some people who can get how I would like to use characters like DeloitTed MicrosoftTed WalmartTed as adverts into a half hour trailer for the film in 6 years time or so and to secure backing and investment form the .likes of Deloitte and Microsoft to do so.

I am hoping to do a deal with the Coastguard Association to do a comic strip for them with a Double T Ted's character and fingers crossed with a joint thing going on with the RNLI. Comic strips teaching children safety by the coast and in that regard

I have yet to get any sort of interest from the RNLI but I have spoken to the Chairman of the Coastguard association and he said he will put it to his committee (so fingers crossed there as that will be just what I need to put the Double T Ted's on the map)

So that's a little about me Hi all.
:)

Hi there. Interesting concept. Not sure how you might fare on the 'MicrosoftTed' etc front, but good luck!

Don't worry we have that covered dude

We don't touch it like DeloitTed we just describe them and leave them open to design and if they get commissioned all well and good

They will want to to be represented in the film trailer in five years time is my thinking.

The same with DeloitTed

Though DeloitTed actually have the www.deloitted.com domain name.

Perfect as I designed a Teddy Bear for that! Quite possibly their mascot which if they want in to the trailer as backers well you know - or not I'm easy either way. LOL

It's a bit of a pity I can't really reveal any more presently as I have huge plans for things online but need to secure a number of domain names before doing so

Thankey Ellie

Popping over there for a read now

Welcome MrFlicks

Thanks Will :)

Is it always this slow around here?

There doesn't seem to be much activity on the forums

Not at all. But it's rather sunny and warm, so I imagine many people are melting somewhere away from a computer.

Blimey melting was what I felt like earlier walking to my Mum's to meet my Mrs and little en for a Bar-B as it was sweltering.

I had to stop twice in the shade

I was doing so well working on www.wacico.com in the nice shade in doors with a nice breeze coming in off the hills with the windows open before getting hit by the heat blast as I stepped outside.

What does anyone who can be bothered to look think of WACICO so far?

It is going to list various artists and writers and the cartoonists section will be sorted either later tonight if I don't spend the rest of the evening off or tomorrow if I can't be bothered tonight.

Would be interested to know if it works on a mobile as on my Nieces Andriod phone it looked weird in and small, but one of my toonist friends told me it looked and worked fine on his iPhone.

I clicked on the link and it doesn't seem to have anything sorry. An advert if you like with no content.

Was there no menu showing for you Marc?

Was there no menu showing for you Marc?

Yes, everything I clicked on though had the same thing, with nothing to look at , unless I am missing something.

Sorry yes the menu has click on links. Not sure it is well designed as a home portal though.

That was on a mobile browser yes Marc?

If so I think I might have to add a mobile version like http://doubletteds.com/mobile.htm which I have seen work quite well in a mobile.

It's quite easy to add a mobile version of a site that is short and sweet and accessible for mobiles as all you need is the things I used in that last link and a bit of code in meta tags and you have a mobile friendly version of a site. Just in case anyone wants or needs on. I have the bits and bobs you would need.

Its ok I need no bits and bobs. Good luck with it all.
