Total Recall (not really an 'epic' but it's 113mins) like Bussell with JFK, if it comes on I can't help but watch the rest of it.

New Version coming soon!

Jesus Of Nazareth, great epic as in long film, but haven't seen it for years.

Agree with Keewik - Titanic

Gladiator (of course)

The Harry Potters

I have to be in the mood for a good epic but when I am, they are great.
Some of my faves are Mutiny On The Bounty, Waterloo, Platoon, Apocalypse Now, 300, The Gladiator, Spartacus, The Brothers Karamazov, The Vikings, Caligula, Ivan The Terrible, Rembrant, Zulu, The Thin Red Line, The Iron Cross,The Battle Of Britain, Lord Jim, Andre Rubilev, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Ryan's Daughter, Stalingrad, All Quiet On The Western Front, The Fall Of The Roman Empire, Downfall, The Tin Drum.

You don't get too many comedy epics, do you.

Platoooooooon!
Love it.

They just feel like they go on for hours

;) I find them 'over rated' (can hear tumbleweed)

I can hear Ennio Morricone!

You missed out 'The Longest Day' Alfred.

'The Great Escape' and 'Colditz'

I know I know :( I shall lash myself before the great glass God a bit later. When already lashed.
