Cheers amar. I liked the Prince Phillip gag. I stopped, then guffawed. And you don't get a lot of guffawing these days...

Well done to you Amar, it's got to be good news when people applaud something you've written!!
And fantastic result for you, Dan; I think the Lansley sketch got the biggest laugh from me for the entire show and the end sketch was really good too (these always seem really polished to me - tonight's included -and I kinda assumed they must be written in-house).
On the web chat they said And Finally deadline was on monday. Does that mean they count as a sketch? ie if you send in two sketches and one and finally that's your limit?
The applause was a high I could easily get addicted to!
I thought the IRA-Mario joke was brilliant. And I agree Humberfloob, Lansley got the biggest laugh from me
This is just a guess but if you send in three sketches together and then send another three say a few hours later are they really going to ignore them?

Yeah, I noticed this last week as I usually send one in as a one-liner with all the other gumph on Tuesday. This week, I risked it as a whole sketch by itself (though it was ideal for the time-travel thing) and it paid off. Lesson: send it as a sketch on Monday!
Cheers HF re: Lansley. It was rewritten but not indistinguishable from the original (as I've had before!)
Dan
I have mentioned this before and don't want to bang on but my rejected sketches are in critique - I'm sure BCG's don't need reminding but negative comments are as welcome as positive. More so even as I want to get something on this series
"Putting children to bed is like stealing lead from a church roof; it's much easier to do in the dark"
I can't believe lines like this get broadcast when I've read so much genuinely funny stuff here that's been rejected.
Well done to BCG'ers who got on.

Perhaps Simon Mayhew-Archer was in the lift and Mark Thompson got in and said something along the lines of "Paul's son, isn't it? NewsJock? I've got a funny line you could use on your show (see above) Oh for Christ's sake, you've got spittle all over my shoes..."
So I make it five people on here got a credit last night. Congrats to one and all.
radiat1on - Coffee one-liner
Humberfloob - SHC potato one-line
Dan - Langsley sketch & And finally
Amardeep - Prince Phillip
3 songs - what did you get on?
For me the two best lines in the show were the SHC potato one (well done Humberfloob - that deserved more from the audience!) and the 'Not even Big Brother is watching' at the end.
Three more episodes for those of us with a blank so far to get a credit. To the writing desk!
Yes, that 'Big Brother' of the 'And Finally...' was the bit I didn't write...

Regardless Dan, that easily ranks as the best 'And finally' from the last two series for me, bravo.
I did find last night's episode to be pretty strong, apart from a few of the apps (my own included).
The sketch that got me laughing the most was the 'Shakespeare with typos', one of those 'can't believe I didn't think of that' moments and very well done indeed.

Mine was the Saudi women's right to vote JackApp...
I have to say, I loved the Spontaneous Combustion line, I'm laughing now just thinking about it.
Last night's show was pretty good, I thought, so well done to everyone on here who got something on.
Seems like some of the stuff I sent in was close to what got used, too, interesting. I wrote an intro around the infinite number of monkeys which asked if comedy could be written in the same way, ending with the line, "On with the shoe! Ah..."
I also wrote an Ed Balls name bullying gag that I thought was funny, but later realised was exactly the kind of thing that he's complaining about, so shame on me for that...

Ah, now THAT was a good app, nice work.
