Can they do that?
A self censoring mic!
We use Logitech USB mics (£13 to £27 depending on where you buy) there is no model number as far as I am aware, just... Logitech Desktop USB microphone

I found the Samson CO1U to be excellent
you can pick one up for around £50 if you shop around.
I use a Shure SM58, pretty Robust and cheap.
We also use a Shure SM58, coupled via an external sound card to the PC. It's been booted around gigs across the UK for many moons.
However, imo, the quality of the mic is secondary. The most important factor when using a mic is the techniques you use. Even the world's best mic will pop like a bowl of cereals if you are too close or speak directly into it. Years of working with tat taught me a lot and gave me many tears. There are some great recording tips available on the net for DIY anti-pop guards etc.
SlagA is absolutely right. You don't have to shell out a fortune on a mic and a piece of nylon stretched over a coathanger will go a long way in reducing sibilance (or 'popping').
I had a link for a site for microphones high and low quality... But if anyone wants it I believe Martin Holmes has it.

I use this one too.... I use audacity to edit what I record too. I found with this mic, it's very clear, and doesn't really pick up back ground noise. However, do not get too close because it is the king of popping noises.
I use the mic on my camcorder and then use some free software called mmconvert to strip the audio off as a WAV file. Obviously if you don't have a camcorder this is of no use! But I just thought I'd share the info.
Thanks for all the ideas.
I like the look of the Samson CO1U one. Once I have some money I'll look into getting one.
