How about Doctors and nurses who work in abortion clinics. To be fair the Americans only kill you if you do something they don't like just like we do. Thats what the 'if you're not with us you're against us' stuff was about.
On the other hand, and its a f**king big hand, Americans provide alot of aid, be it some military, to alot of people in need.

Less of who and more of what, but mostly science and reasoning.
Ignorance and Prejudice - of religions, cultures, race, each other. I think they all play for Inter Milan.
If someone kills in the 'name' of their religion then it's that person's disobedience to the tenets of their religion which is the cause and not the religion itself. Even extremist islamic terrorism is inspired by a perversion of the islamic faith to suit a political objective.
The problem is that people want to tailor their faith to fit their own particular mind-set, rather than allow the faith to modify their mind-set. "Faith-to-go-with-fries please." If people got it the right way 'round then religion might actually work. MIGHT. But we're short-term goal creatures with "instant" "convenience" and "Now" as our keywords.
Sadly, the world will never be at peace while mankind walks the planet. If there were just two people on Earth and two nuclear arsenals, it wouldn't be long before the long dark nuclear winter turned up on the doorstep.
We as a species, and as individuals, are the threat but some of us have more opportunity to put it into practice.
