Well. Pink Bacardi Breezers do taste okay. But you will look like a trollop drinking them.

:D There's an Essex girl inside you somewhere.

I'm with you of course. A lot of alcoholic beverages taste like arse. I do enjoy the odd cider but that's about it. And I only like cider because it tastes like apple juice.

I was drinking cider today... two and a half hours in the pub, two crosswords and two bottles!!

A job well done. You earned that second cider.

:O I hope not.

I do take on board that the only wines of which I've ever had a sip were fairly to very cheap. But I can't believe that there is a wine that genuinely tastes good. I can't.

Unfortunately all the answers were wrong.

I can drink the odd glass of wine. I found a bottle I enjoyed a few months ago but have never remembered the name of it since. It was only a cheap one but lovely it was.

Really. It didn't make you wince a bit and pull a funny face?

Trust me there are. But I know what you mean re alcohol.

Yeah but they fitted in mainly and a blocking out of a box here and there helped. :)

No, it was just fruity tasting. I think the wincing thing is probably the sign of a poor quality sour wine? I'm no connoisseur though, so I'll shuddup.

You're probably right.

Marc, tell us what expensive wine tastes like!

I changed it to sour. Bitter suggests something else... well bitter.

Lol well it doesn't have to be really expensive... this was a ten quid bottle or so earlier. It shouldn't be harsh, it should be velvety smooth it should taste of the fruit and you shouldn't be aware it is even alcoholic sometimes!! The flavour should burst on your tongue like a flavour sensation... like a wine based lemony melting sweet which I can't remember what they were called but were like yellow mini flying saucers!

Well that sounds quite wondrous.

I know I prefer white wine over red. Mark's right, a good wine is were you can taste the fruit. But I suppose if you're drinking to get drunk, it's the other way around (zooo).

White wine is trickier for flavour for a non drinker, sharp and sour, dry and gooseberry... maybe a really good, not per se expensive, full strawberry flavoured fizz with a strawberry in it, chilled on a hot summers day?
