The Sarah Silverman Program

Did anybody see this, the first episode of this new series was on Thursday night. Very wierd but pleasantly entertaining and funny, with plenty of great lines. It's a sitcom but not in a traditional way, it has characters but mixed in with the usual Silverman comedic songs which are great.

The first episode can also be downloaded from the usual places on the net. Anyone else catch it?

I've only seen little bits of her on YouTube and the like after hearing good things about her; I'd like to see more, hopefully her show might transfer to some channel over here.

I need to watch this. I've also never had a crush on a girl with such a dirty mouth. It's nice ;)

Yeah she is cute.

i do like her aswell, i think she is probably the funniest lady in the world, does anyone know if she has anything out on d.v.d?

NEW SIG

Never heard of her but just checked out the link you had Martin.
Yey she is pretty funny.
I do like a gal with a monstrous dirty gob. Makes me feel part of a group. I wonder if she has a soap mouthwash addiction like myself.
My beady eye is a watching.xx

Also she is in The Aristocrats, her part is one of the best and she was on short lived sitcom called Greg the Bunny with Eugene Levy and Seth Green.

Her movie (Jesus is Magic) is amazingly funny but I wouldn't watch it with your parents. By comparason her TV show is pretty tame buts thats because its made for TV. I haven't seen the full episode yet but what I have seen is amazing. I love the bit at the end when she, like all good sitcom stars should, learns a moral lesson.

'mostly i learnt elderly black women are wise beyond their years, but that younger black women are prostitutes?'

btw her dvd is only region 1 so only buy it if you've got a region 1 dvd player

Or region free, of course.

(And cats rule.)

FYI Paramount Comedy has just acquired the exclusive UK rights to The Sarah Silverman Program. Shame for those of us who don't have Sky but at least it is coming over here. The show will air on Paramount in the autumn apparently.

Oh cool. The first series? Because I know Series 2 is starting around that time in the US, so maybe we can get both series back to back.

I think they've just bought series one Martin, however the normal way these deals work is that they then get first refusal on future series so, provided series one does ok for them ratings wise (it should do), the second series will no doubt be purchased.

Not a fan, I haven't seen this show so I'll give it a try.
