Ever seen Congo. 'Stop eating my sesame cake' parody
New sketch I would really like some feedback on!

Your main problem (aside from an interminably long set-up) is that of the few people who actually saw 1995's Congo, even fewer remember it. I have literally no idea what the joke is here and I'm ashamed to say I saw it in the cinema. Maybe next time try parodying something current?
Yeah I know it is a little obscure. But it has come back recently as a MEME. Hopefully just the awkward tension is a little funny though?
And every one knows currant cakes are funnier than sesame cakes.
I asked my baker for currant puns, but all he gave were 'eckles.

For tension to exist we need to have at least some investment in the characters and their dramatic conflict. All you're showing us is two characters not talking for about 30 seconds (which is already twice the length of some sketches).
Another thing; a quick Google tells me that the Congo meme is already over a year old, which makes it practically geriatric for what it is.
Unless you wanted to disapoint you haven't ahcieved what ever it is you were trying to achieve.
Perhaps next time mock some one you can look, sound, smell or somehow else ressemble.
I was worried that a bit of a luvvie culture had emerged on here, so I'm glad to see there's some genuinely candid feedback available - there's nothing helpful about telling people something's funny when it's not.
So Sootyj & David are spot on, it's just not funny. I remember the Congo piece you're refering to (god knows why) so I was intregued to see this as evidently the massive Congo meme craze of 2010 passed me by (i'll shed those tears later) - but it was just pretty dull....the tension just wasn't there and I think you took the wrong path in choosing the "saying things twice" as the hook.
On the plus side, it's edited very well and cudos to the camera positions, it looks really good, but alas it remains a polished turd.
Simply saying something twice doesn't make it funny.

Thanks for all the feedback guys.I have sent it two the director and it really helps us in the process of making more when people are honest. But we are not deterred, will be posting more soon!
