He's very good in Radio 4 sitcom Party. Although I notice he only really has one tone of voice.

I think it's more that both characters suit that voice; I seem to remember his delivery being different during his live show.

I enjoyed this. It didn't totally blow me away, and I've got some niggles, but I reckon they'll iron those out and it'd make a fantastic series.

Why did I think Tom Basden wrote it?

Just realised that Sweet also plays the guy Rachel gets off with in Episode 4, Series 2, A Night Out in London of The Inbetweeners.

It was alright. It certainly needs to be funnier and with less of the 'embarassed pause' Inbetweeners schtick (that works better in that show).

Simon Day needs a bit more to his character, and Jonny Sweet less, as he's overbearing. I didn't really feel any empathy to either of them. Joe Thomas's character I got into more and he seemed to have a better dilemmas going on.

The Headmaster was truly, truly excellent though. Top marks.

I'd watch a series but they need to make me care about the characters a bit more.

Overall I think this was pretty poor. I maybe laughed 3 times during the whole thing, although this may have been at how surprised I was at is rubbishnessnessness.

Disappointing.

You laughed 3 times, you were lucky. I didn't laugh once!

Oh yes, of course. Day would have livened it up massively!

Bonkers, I say; bonkers!

Yeah. And madcap.

Too many pages, so not sure what the general consensus is. But I enjoyed it. Would like to see a series. Please. I liked that it was in a world of its own, I do enjoy a good period piece. But not necessarily a piece of period. Sick

Overall I liked it. It took a while for me to get used it being a period piece but everyone talking like they were in The Inbetweeners but after that it went quite well.

Not sure about the strength of the ending. I know you can't stop when you are dying for a piss but you can move or at least redirect your stream away from the memorial tree. It should've ended with everyone seeing him doing a piss on the tree IMO. Being fussy.
