Loo has just randomly broken. Phone has just randomly broken. Thought we'd run out of coffee but found some proper in the back of the cupboard, so the world is not completely against me.
Oh, except caffeine is a diuretic. Oh dear
What's wrong with the toilet?
Don't know! Flush button has decided to become useless. Have looked under lid thingy but can't find anything loose, have emailed my landlord but don't know when the'll see it and don't have money for the cheapest rate I found online which was 80 quid without any pieces they may need
You can flush a toilet by pouring a pan/ bucket of water down into the bowl. Forces it through the system.
Take the lid off, lift the stop cock (big orange ball) should flush straight off.
Also the button doesn't really do much. You'll see there's a lever it pushes down, try doing that with your finger.
Oh and Nat is right about the pan of water.
(nice to see you back again Nat)
Thanks for the toilet tips! Still not bloody working though, landlord is getting a plumber round. Fortunately there's nothing *terribly embarrassed British cough* you know, embarrassing..

Our bathroom toilet took 6 weeks to fix after it broke 3 days after our accident and flooded to the floor below. We had the downstairs loo fortunately but our landlord ensured the inconvenience lasted as long as possible.
Just received this Slow Scan TV image from the ARISSAT-1 amateur radio satellite using a scanner, handheld antenna and a laptop. ARISSAT-1 is a tiny, short-lived satellite that was deployed from the space station about a month ago. The satellite was about 800 miles away when this image was received. Not bad for something like 1/4 of a watt.
I'm a right f**king misery guts at the moment. Any tips to help me cheerthef**kup? I feel so emo.

Bah. Hope nothing's flooding downstairs, those neighbours are grumpy enough already. Luckily my landlord and lady are friends of the family, and are lovely

4 Lions is on channel 4 at 9pm, that should raise a chuckle or at least a smile.

I usually write jokes.
Been tidying up that cheered me up. But making a mess in the first place can be a nuisance.
