Maria Bamford is AWESOME.

I downloaded her album on your recomendation in the stand up albums thread. I'd never heard of her before that. Good addition to the collection though.

Bit: (bubbleheaded paris hilton voice) "I saw you on TV and it's like, just like high school, you're not funny, you're just weird". Class.

Cool, which one did you get? I have How To Win and the more recent Unwanted Thoughts Syndrome, both great. I've yet to get her first one, Burning Bridges.

You should check out The Comedians Of Comedy, a documentary about a comedy tour starring her, Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifanakis and Brian Posehn. There's a TV series too.

I'm a supporter here, I've always thought women are naturally very funny indeed: Campaigning for nonsexist treatment of women in the media, and then trouncing every male charactristic in their campaign. Very funny! Campaigning to ban papers and magazines from showing them as sex objects, when the books are full of girls waiting to be models and millions of them waltz down the street showing off what they can get away with. Hilarious!

Moaning like hell about not getting their child maintenance payments from the father when the state has given theim almost complete custody of their joint children. That's a good one! Campaigning like billio for more women to enter parliament and have power, saying they'd create a fairer state, where everyday life is made easier, and then getting that power and tying us all up red tape so we cannot move for fear of doing anything 'wrong' or harmful, and creating the nanny state in which you can hardly breathe. Slide splitting!

Fooling employers for decades about being unable to work whenever they don't feel like it, because of 'women's problems'. Ha ha! Successfully ssking for equal pay in tennis matches, when they play far shorter games. Very funny! Successfully campaigning to get girls submitted into the Scouts then refusing boys permission to enter the Brownies. Hilarious! Oh I could go on and on and on about their great sense of humour. Yes, women are a scream, I totally agree.

Oh dear.

I think it's his time of the month.

:O That's my line!

Consider it pinched!

Rats, is it too late to change the name of the S&M Lesbian in my new book. Nah let it stand :)

:D No - Murder Club

Mind you... :)

Hee.

This is a bit sexist, I can think of loads:

Miranda Hart, Victoria Wood, French and Saunders, Sarah Millican...

I'm not a fan myself, but a lot of people find Joan Rivers very funny.

There are lots of funny women.

Victoria Wood
Miranda Hart
Sarah Millican

You forgot French and Saunders. Unless of course you don't like them but surely everybody does.
