I see that MPs are tackling the tough important issues by ammending a bill to repeal the Blasphemy Act and voting themselves an above, way above, payrise. Good to see them representing the needs of their constituents. Oh and lest we forget the Fox Hunting Ban.
House of Parliament more like House of useless wankers 
I miss the characters in British politics. The House of Commons used to have people like grossly obese Cyril Smith and lovable racist Enoch Powell, nowadays they're all middle-management types with all the personality of shop store manequins. Although the Rev Ian Paisley's still going, I like him.
Are they going above inflation? Undoubtedly they'd like to, but then wouldn't we all...
They need to back off, stop passing ridiculous laws and let common sense prevail.
And now i've just read that Darling, obviously the fisted Ventriloquist's Dummy of Brown, wants to freeze public sector pay for 3 years! Cue angry face 
Whilst asking them to perform more tasks of increasing complexity and skill, and inflation rocketing, no doubt.
And they wonder why there are a shortage of doctors, nurses, teachers, policemen...
I'm a teacher and I think my pay is marvelous. In fact it's so good I often send some of it back to the Director of Education just in case he's short of a bob or two. Aren't I nice!
There only seems to be one use for MPs at the moment and that's filling chairs on Have I Got News For You. Our MP is Jackie Smith, and she did absolutely NOTHING for our town, and now she's higher up she's doing even less. Someone almost got shot down here three weeks ago.
