There's not too much time left in Edinburgh, so you'd be unlikely to get anything in now. They said weeks ago that once it's started they won't be able to change it much, as they'll have all the staging etc sorted. The only things the director said they're likely to take during the run itself are one-liners, which they use between sketches, to keep the show topical.

At the Newsrevue writers meeting prior to Edinburgh. Several BCG writers were there. It was certainly notified to the people who are on their email list ( I know some people seem to struggle to get on the list, it took me several months of submitting). I know I got several reminders. And I think it was mentioned on this thread as well.

The Ed show is a Best Of Year, but sketches aren't automatically entered.
Writers are asked to submit their best sketches from the previous 12 months this usually hoppens around May/June) and the director of the Ed show makes up the show from them.

It is primarily a "best of" show, but it's also a topical show, so it has to be up-to-date too. So they will include, and were asking for, stuff that was new. If you listen to the BBC Radio Scotland show from the fringe on iPlayer they have Newsrevue covering the riots, for example.

What about people who can't get to these meetings? I don't mind that much not responding to my emails, it can be difficult if you have too many people responding, but this thread does seem to be a step behind the News Revue group. Thanks for updating us, but...

In my dealings with the News Revue people, I've found them to be awfully nice but absolutely useless at communicating with the people who write their show for them. And comically inept when it comes to sending out payments.

F**king hell - one of my sketches is in the latest running order!

This is the first time ever, that something I've written's been performed!

Am I right to assume that the latest running order's going to be performed next week?

Newsrevue is incredibly confusing to try to keep up to date with, but I think this director started at the beginning of Sept, so we're now at the end of week 4? Or maybe week 3 as there was Edinburgh/week crossover between months.
So that list would have been last weeks or the week before's?
But they often keep sketches running so maybe just call them and ask.
