The ironic thing is that when it comes to Hooliganism, ask the average football fan what Liverpool's main hooligan "firm" was called back in the '80s, when almost every team had one, and they'll struggle to give an answer. Apparently there was a group who called themselves the Urchins, but their notoriety was nothing compared to the likes of West Ham's I.C.F., Chelsea's Headhunters, Millwall's Bushwhackers, Man United's Red Army, Leeds' Service Crew, Birmingham's Zulus, Stoke's Naughty Forty or Cardiff's Soul Crew.
Actually the Millwall and West Ham hooligans even had their own documentaries made about them. The Millwall one is quite funny actually. I remember Bob Mills making fun of it on In Bed With Me Dinner, back in the '90s.
Catz don't let some tit send them over for you to head in lad, you're supposed to be a scouser.
Here's 10 seconds of the Millwall documentary, which is actually from way back in 1977: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8Ywyfk2hUY
And this is apparently the same bloke, 33 years later: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqADIQ1cM0U&NR=1

Hillsborough, unlike Heysel had nothing at all to do with football violence or the misbehaviour of fans though. That has been proven extensively, no matter how much some sections of the press and the police force tried to paint a different picture at the time. What happened at Hillsborough could have happened to any club, it was a disaster waiting to happen.
Champions League: Man City to play Bayern, Villarreal &......
And Napoli, they have, by far and away, the hardest draw I have seen this year for an english team.
I'm a United supporter, but I have to admit, we have got the easiest draw.
United ALWAYS get an easy draw.
I hope you arn't planning to suggest a live draw was faked, lol.
Its been done before, they put the seeded teams balls in a freezer for half an hour before they were picked.

Is there a You Tube video of them doing that?

It wouldnt be a very good fake if they filmed it and put it on YouTube.
They are an english team, just the team arn't enlish, what a conundrum.

It's also a disgrace that's responsible for both inflating the ridiculous wages of players, bankrupting clubs and the supporters who go to see them, AND the depletion of our own band of potential England players, because many of the talented ones cannot get into premiership teams now to get enough game time at the top level.
That is why we got thumped by Germany at the last world cup, a country whose league is far inferior to ours. It should be working the other way around, but it isn't because all our top clubs our too infested with foreign players. It's a national disgrace that our FA is completely impotent to put right! They don't care, as long as they have the huge flow of money flooding in. Disgusting!
Platini is trying to put a cap on the games financial capers, which in the long term will be good for the game.
But in the short term it needs to close the loop holes such as the ground naming capers for 400 million.
Its hard when FIFA are so transparently corrupt and Platinis motives are more related to envy of the Premiership than anything else, if the French had the level of investment that the Premier has, then I doubt it would be an issue.

Anybody remember this?
