Bolton are a smallish club. I know that. I watched us in Division 4 in front of crowds of 2000+_

Thats irrelevant.

Everton are the shite of Mersyside and thankfully theyre also completely skint

I pray they get relegated.

losing to QPR?! f**kin hell!

I was at Burnden Park when they beat Spurs 6-1 the week before Matthew Harding's helicopter crashed.

John McGinlay hatrick.

Don't worry about us mate we will bounce back we've only played one game.
It's all about consistency, your team will probably go down again yet again and I will laugh like I did in 98, laughed all day I did and all night!

On a lighter note it will be wakes week soon and you can all get the charabanc to Blackpool for the week.
It will be like your Diwali but with fish and chip suppers, don't forget to pop a hanky on your granddads head if you leave him on the beach all day while you catch crabs.

Everton defy the maths in staying up and doing well.

Moyes is a top, top manager and does so well without a transfer kitty. Cahill is one of the best midfielders in the league, how there's been no 20mil bid for him I'll never know.

Toffees need a buy out to do justice to the club's history. Kenwright means well it seems, but, things are different.

Everton have more heart, character and footballing ethic than Liverpool. They need a backer though.

We have Piennar now, don't know why though, he's good but. I don't know.

If Everton can finish 7th with the current squad/resources just imagine how good they'd be with the Spurzzzz budget.

I've always liked Everton. Had some real legends, with a board like Spurs they'd be Champions League.

Spurs self-destructed at the end of last season. Shame. Best line up I've seen in my lifetime.

Who d'you follow Top Banana?

It only seems like yesterday that he joined Inter Milan as a 17-year-old. His first club was Coventry, wasn't it? Back when his strike partner was the little Zimbabwean Peter Ndlove, wasn't it?

I'm still convinced they thought they were buying Roy Keane.

They could've won the European Cup but for Liverpool.

So why please are footballers so thick?

They know that taking their shirt is a yellow card but they still insist on doing it. If I was their manager I'd fine them for stupidity.

I'll go for a Spurs win as well, 1-0 or a draw at least. I think they have more star players than MU. With a tweak here and there, Spurs could win the title this season.

Spurs were 4/1 to win tonight last time I looked. I would be surprised if they did it, but those odds are worth a flutter.

I don't reckon. Spurs finished 18 points behind United last year, and since then I think Ferguson has made a few shrewd signings. I am going to say that the gap between United and Spurs will be around the same as it was last year.

Good to see Manchester city playing with such flair. Let's hope they win it. We haven't seen a flair team win it since 2009-10.

I think United will be more of a flair team this year, in the community sheild and first league match we have been showing a lot more one touch football than we ever have, I think Fergie is copying Barcelona's tempo but with more of an emphasis on the wingers and also givng a few less restrictions {allowing the players to do long passes at corners and high crosses into the box}

I agree I think SAF is emulating Barcas tempo and if anyone can pull it off its Fergie as he the greatest manager this country has ever seen.

That is debatable. Maybe he's won a few trophies but he hasn't built up and won the top league with two different clubs in this country.
