ok

I'd say the brain is an organ of the body no diferent nor more important than the knee, the lymphic node or the anus.

It doesn't need to be in perfect working order for you to be healthy. And obsessing over one's mental health is every bit as dangerous as those fools who have gallon coffee enemas or only eat honey produced with in a mile of their home.

But when one is aware that one's brain isn't working, then one needs to make the decision of if this a bearable problem. No diferent to the fellow who finds himself widdling more in later life as his prostate wears out.

If it's no real bother then don't worry, go with God all that.

But if the bother is too much. If the moods are to black, the anxieties too severe the sleep to broken.

Then get help, get back to where you want to be. Or your as foolish as that old chap getting up 6 times in the night to pee but avoiding treatment.

Pills can help, not always but they're making them better every year. And some times talking to some one who's learned to listen and maybe occaisonally offer a little guidance when the path is very hard can also help.

And sometimes just good old practical stuff helps. Peeing at night? Stop having a glass of wine before bed? Knee hurts maybe jog less?

Feel sad or hopeless? See friends, do something you like, take up a less stressful job whatever.

But don't suffer needlessly.

I'd like to stop talking about it here now, if that's okay. I could go into the reasons why just 'assimilating' my sadness would be potentially disastrous; but again public forum and all that. I know from experience that just leaving it isn't a safe option.

That's cool.

Why has no one congratulated me on getting an ace new flipcam, with which to record my stanup in HD high res stereo, bollocks vision.

Also I got defriended by someone on Facebook for calling them racist.

Oh and I wrote some jokes on a boat today.

..........

Ooops, sorry, SBF!

Posted afterwards. I'll delete....

No, no - it's totally fine! I saw your post and I just want to stop talking about it because there is literally nothing I can do right now besides what I've already tried. I'd heard before that many GPs will just try to prescribe anti-depressants, but your post has made me think that I will perhaps have to stress that I want them to be a last resort. Thanks. :)

They can work in conjunction with talking therapy well.

Certainly with OCD and similar conditions I'm often stunned by how effective antianxiety meds can be.

Sorry.

Back to changing subject.

Won't someone just compliment me on my new flipcam already?

CONGRATS SOOTY!

WHICH KIND IS IT!?

It's got 64 gig memory, HD 2 hours record time.

It's stylish white and one was one of the last made by Cisco after they took over flip cam.

w00t!!!!

I don't know what a flipcam is.

I may record my own standup on it and then record my own laugh track.

Somehow went from LOLcats to this:
