Are you working on one for Modric?

In truth, because of Tottenham's wage cap and Modric's performance since the day he signed, a perfect gent and footballing wizard, he deserves to be let go. Levy went back on his word from the sounds of it.

And, 27mil and Kalou and Benayoun? KerChing!

That's a cracking deal for Spurs imo, Benayoun is quality.

I'd be sad if Benayoun left, but Spurs are welcome to Kalouless.

I hope that deal goes through. Definitely a good deal. Benayoun'll replace Modric instantly, and as for Kalou, he wrecked our hopes of 4th when he came on as sub and scored, like I knew he would the second he came on. Bastard. The dude plays with a spliff in his mouth, but still, quality.

Criminally underused by Chowsi.

Benayoun is about 31 now isnt he, I fear he will end up as dead weight, especially considering Tottenham's strenth in midfield.

Well, Spurs played well enough last night without him, so I think they should cash in. Benoyeun would at least help Spurs rest a few midfielders now and again. Their long season wore them out, causing injuries to several key players at the end. They deserved a lot more than just a Europa league spot for that fantastic season. They were definitely the most entertaining team of our lot.

Modric is good, but he may not be as good now if he's forced to stay against his will. That is still a world class midfield they've got. I think the star players like Bale, Lennon and Van Der Vaardt should be protected much more for the big games this season.

I'm sure Harry will pounce on a new player or two yet. A striker and a goalie are needed. Abedouyer could be a good signing, if he can get him. Redknapp has a great eye for players.

Got on my nerves the way he spoke upon Joining Liverpool, even their fans who I worked with was saying it's a step up. So when Spurs finished higher than them (again) it was 'Booyah!'

Good game tonight. Cue 'Hearts Broken' back pages tommorow.

Bale really needs a pay raise. To agree to pay Adeyboyor 4Ok a week more than Bale is a slap in the face to everyone.

It was a step up at the time though, he was joining a vastly more succesful club with a bigger fanbase. Although Spurs have finished higher than Liverpool the last two seasons, it is the only two times they have finished higher than Liverpool in 40 years. When Keane joined Liverpool, we were the number one seeded club in European football (2 Champions League finals in three years), and finished 2nd in the league that season. All was looking well when Keane joined, it was only 12 months later that the scale of decay in the club due to the corruption and incompetence of the owners and the people they put in charge of running the club was coming to light. It is only now that we are beginning to recover from Hicks and Gillette's ownership.

Laughing out loud

Seriously though. Rafa is a legend who gave so much to the club. I love the man, and hope to see him back at Anfield at some point in the future. In the 25 years I've been going the game, Rafa gave me some of the best moments I've had and brought in some top quality players in very difficult circumstances.

I think Liverpool will do well this season, and Dalglish will prosper over the next few years. But we also have Rafa to thank for the foundation stones he laid down with the players he brought in, and also the blossoming of players that are coming through the academy which Rafa installed and invested in.

Good result for Liverpool.
2-0 away to Arsenal

^Excellent result.

Man Utd, Chelsea & Man City will be streets ahead of the rest, with Arsenal, Liverpool & Spurzzzz fighting for 4th. Liverpool should be the favourites for 4th, IMO.

I think I'm developing some sort of football related safe place alzheimers; kept on hearing the commentators say 'Tony Adams' and 'Bergkamp' :(

LOL @ Frimpong.

You an Arsenal fan? This season is the beginning of the end for the Gunners. End of season, 7th/8th at best!

Wenger won't back down now on his youth policy as it would be admitting he was wrong to not make big signings, and he's too stubborn for that.

Arsenal success was reliant on superstars who aren't there any more. Henry, Bergkamp, Petit, Viera, Overmars, Llungberg and Pires (when they were at the peak) Campbell, Ashley Cole... Damn, that was one f**king good team! Best football the Premiership's ever seen.

All over now though. Ha! Soon the fickle knobheads in that oversized stadium'll be calling for him to be axed.

Any other 'top club' would not let their manager go 6 trophyless seasons without getting the sack.

Even SAF would be under immense pressure to become a board member, or summink.

Wenger's just too stubborn to admit that his great 'build a young team' theory has failed.
