It's Does anyone actually believe Cpt Jack does anything with the Torchwood computers when the others are away, other than losing at minesweeper and jerking off over Justin Beiber?

:D

The expression is jacking off!

Yeah, the plot seems to be advancing an inch at a time, which is frustrating as it was obvious this is how the world would deal with the should-be-deads five weeks ago. Shame Dr Sexy died too.

We lose Dr Sexy but in episode six we get Sexetary Sexy. Thank God the Americans got involved otherwise it would just be Jack and the fabulous men he meets.

I have seen somewhere that RTD actually wrote 13 eps and this was cut. If that is what the Americans have saved us from then gratitude is due.
Not sure if its anything other than force of habit and sheer bloodymindedness that will get me through to the conclusion.

I confess, I've given up on it. There are better things to do than sit through 4/5 of tedium to get at the 1/5 interesting stuff. Also,I don't ever want to see more of RTD's vision of 'concentration camps', I got bored with that in Who.

This has highlighted how writers can often be their own worst enemies. They need good producers and directors to reign them in and bring out the best in a project.

Wondering whether to say if tonight doesn't move the story on a bit, I'll give up with it.
Interesting theory running on the Graun blog is that Jack is being sidelined prior to being killed off. Does JB really have an offer good enough to walk away from Torchwood? Another season in panto in Birmingham perhaps?

I'm watching this now, so I can watch BB at 9pm. :)

I thought it was one of the better episodes tonight. Yeah, the plot didn't move on much, and RTD was wheeling out all his tired old evil-government-state-of-emergency themes, but it felt zippier and held my interest.

Seconded. Hanging in there for the next one. At least they might explain what happened to the bloke in Shanghai.

It was pretty good and next episode looks like a bit of a classic.

Two hander with flashback.

And the story may be elongated but it makes sense.

RTD always wears his influences on his sleeve and I think a lot of this series, especially the last two episodes, has seen him bizarrely attempting to do 24, with often real timesh elements and even a strand in which a major characters family is kidnapped to force them into betraying someone.

Just watched episode seven.

If you think it sucked scrote before, wait until you get a load of this one.

Wow. Just... wow.

Does The Silence pop up?

Does The Silence pop up?

No, but there is a Who crossover reference that, if you haven't done so already, will make you barf up your spleen.

Seriously. Ep 7 is the gayest thing ever. In both senses.

That said, I expect the BBC cut will be about 15 minutes long, so it may be tolerable.
