Comedians reveal what makes them laugh. It's on BBC One.
My Favourite Joke
Bizarre slot - 11:05pm following a repeat. Why not switch it and the repeat around, at least?

Makes you wonder doesn't it. I suspect I'm not going to enjoy the programme - it's one of these things where, rather than just showing the classic clips, they have to interrupt them with 'talking heads'. At least the interviewees are people I want to hear from (rather than the type booked on certain other shows)... but it's still a frustrating format.
Just watching this now but not for much longer. What a mess. And will someone tell the makers that not every funny moment is a "joke"?
Do they always introduce the funny moments by having the celebs tell us exactly what happens first? Great idea!
And butcher said "funny moments" by cutting it up at crucial points, so it's difficult to tell what's going on.
I think there's some really interesting insight coming from these first two eps, but the way it's presented is really spoiling it.
I love watching these shows and looking at every second person going "What do/does he/she/they know about *Insert topic of discussion*."
This is dire - the cutting backwards and forwards to the clip absolutely ruins the joke. Really, really annoying programme.
Watching again tonight. A really weird programme. Some of the clips are great, but the concept is all over the place, as the talking heads are clearly more interested in talking about the performers in general rather than a specific joke (sic). And it's shoddily put together, if I saw them caption a Dave Allen routine as mid 70s when it referred to President Reagan.

The same stuff as everyone else?

Clearly not, or Stewart Lee would be prime-time.

Most of Lee's audience are not comedians.
Do you ever read what you write on here Matthew? You don't seem to have read what I have anyway. It's obvious that comedians do not admire exactly the same comedy that Joe Public does, that's all.

Give that sentance another go, Badge.
