Phew, we're all good, I do get emotional about my Ted

Let's all go and kick Bishop Brennan up the arse.
It's team building.
'Ride me sideways' was another one!
Yes, watch every single episode of Father Ted!

On the one hand I always normally really like anything Graham Lineham does but on the other, the BCG review of it put me off and it does seems a bit old fashioned to me at least.
So, whaddaya think?
Why not check out one of the many repeats before committing to buy it? The box set is rather pricey at the moment.
Although the show is great I don't really rate the DVD itself. Could have been designed better.
Chip's got it on laser-disc.

How can you question it? Buy it straight away.
(Actually I haven't got it - yet!)
Great sitcom with a maybe few variable quality episodes, were these from the first series, can't remember. Don't remember a bad episode but the odd slightly saggy scene or two with Dougal being stupid did make me think it was filler at times. Sometimes it looked to me like these bits were stock silly bits that could have been used in any episode. So I see where technical criticism is coming from. No sitcom though is perfection.
Having said that, when they got it right, they got it very right, because I remember several classic episodes where everything seemed to work like magic. Got a feeling these were in the later series, so it's probably something to do with mastering the form. Wasn't this the writers' first sitcom? But yes, absoultely worth buying, even at 18 quid.
No, it wasn't: https://www.comedy.co.uk/tv/paris/
Oh yes. Still haven't seen that oddity. I'm not a huge Linehan nut so I wasn't sure, it was more a guess. I certainly remember FTed starting out a bit uneven or patchy and ending up a very polished sitcom. Maybe they were still mastering the form. (Hang on, can't have two FTs.)
