Don't confuse concealed carry with transporting a firearm and don't think that those states don't allow concealed carry: they are just selective about who can legally do so. For example you'll find that California only allows "special" people like cops, politicians, judges and well-connected, rich folks to carry. It's a pathetic law and will probably be changed one of these days.

I plan to do so for the first time next week when I fly to Atlanta for a visit with family in Florida and North Carolina.
